Birmingham, Alabama’s Matthew Mayfield, the acoustic guitar weilding heart throb that is sure to make most women quiver between the legs, just debuted his new music video for “Take What I Can Get”.

In the video, directed by Kinora Films, Mayfield sings and plays his guitar while picturesque memories burn up in flames around him. The emotional visual pairs well with the overall feel of the song.

Good Old War to Appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Your (and my) favorite indie folk trio Good Old War have announced that they will be making an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on August 14!

More than likely, the band will be playing a track from Come Back As Rain, their third full-length that was released in March of this year. “Loud Love” is always a fan favorite, as it displays the talents of all three members in the band both instrumentally and vocally. Good Old War Announce Remix Contest

Indie folksters Good Old War have announced a remix contest via Indaba Music for their fans with the chance to win a guitar from Taylor Guitars, a guitar pick-up from Fishman Acoustic Amplification, and an official iTunes release by their record label, Sargent House.

MUSIC VIDEO: Good Old War – Amazing Eyes

Folk indie trio Good Old War have unleashed their brand new music video for “Amazing Eyes”, one of the more touching tracks off their recent release, Come Back As Rain. The video was directed by Elliott Sellers and features some star power as Mad Men’s Peyton List is the main focus in this impressive visual effort from GOW.

Good Old War to Support Counting Crows this Summer

Counting Crows are setting out on a three-leg tour this summer with the intentions of hitting every nook and cranny of the United States and helping to expose new up-and-coming talent.

The tour is called “The Outlaw Roadshow” and Good Old War are the first band announced to be in support of Counting Crows!

Counting Crows vocalist Adam Duritz says, “It was a real no-brainer. We had to add Good Old War.” We will keep you up to date as more information about the tour is released.

Good Old War Announce Fall US Tour

Philadelphia’s Good Old War have announced their fall US tour in September/October, with support on select dates from The Parkington Sisters.

This run will start on September 29 in Colorado and end on October 12 in Georgia. The band is currently supporting their latest release, Come Back As Rain, through Sargent House. We highly recommend checking out this release because it combines various elements of rock and roll.

Good Old War Stream New Album

Good Old War Stream New Song “Can’t Go Home”

Folk rockers Good Old War are on the brink of releasing Come Back As Rain and are celebrating by streaming a new tune over on Consequence Of Sound called “Can’t Go Home.”

This album was recorded in the Nebraska studio of Mike Mogis, with production by Jason Cupp. The feel of this song has a classic rock vibe, mixed with Southern influence, and lyrics of longing for home.

MUSIC VIDEO: Good Old War – Calling Me Names

Folk rockers Good Old War have released a music video for their song “Calling Me Names.” The song if off of the bands upcoming album Come Back As Rain due out March 6th on Sargent House. Pre-orders for the album are already available and can be picked up here.
