STREAM: Ghostface Killah, Sheek Louch, Raekwon & Jadakiss – “Crack Spot Stories”

Wu-Block, the highly anticipated release from Sheek Louch and Ghostface Killah, will make its debut on November 27.

The hip hop duo have been gracious enough to stream the album’s opening track, “Crack Spot Stories” featuring Raekwon and Jadakiss over at HipHop-N-More.com. In addition to the track’s guest rappers, the song also has, what HipHop-N-More.com is calling, an ill sample that’s just the “icing on the cake”. Preview Wu-Block here and pre-order the album on iTunes.

Wu Tang Clan Members Accused of Illegal Sampling

A report has surfaced that names Wu Tung Clan members Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Method Man and RZA as defendants in a suit accusing them of illegal sampling. The accuser is Bridgeport Music and Westbound Records.

The track in question is “New Wu” from ‘Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… Pt. II, a Raekwon solo album released in 2009. It is accused of a 12-second or four measure cut “I’ve Changed” by the Magictones. The Raekwon track also features a verse by Ghostface and Method Man, while RZA produced it. This is why other Wu Tang members GZA, Inspectah Deck, U-God, …

Ghostface Killah sues Universal Music Group

While already trying to defend himself from a lawsuit brought on by Hollywood composer Jack Urbont regarding copyright infringement, Ghostface Killah is filing a lawsuit of his own. The target of this lawsuit is Universal Music Group and Ghostface Killah’s aim is to be able to collect full royalties for his work as a member of the Wu-Tang Clan. He claims that UMG only owns 25% of the copyright to the Wu-Tang Clan’s songs, not the 50% that they claim.

Ghostface Killah’s special guest appearance

At Questlove’s DJ set on April 22nd, Ghostface Killah made a special appearance at the end of the night. He performed his track, “Cherchez LaGhost,” from his album Supreme Clientele. Watch this performance, in 1080p, by looking below.

Ghostface/Raekwon/Method Man Album Coming Out Soon

Wu-Massacre, the collaborative album between Wu-Tang Clan members Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, and Method Man, has seen its release date pushed back a ton of times since last year, and it was starting to seem like we’d never get to hear the thing, especially with Meth facing tax-evasion charges.

But hey, looks like this thing is really coming out now! Wu-Massacre now has a firm release date, a tentative tracklist, and some ridiculously awesome comic-book-inspired cover art, as you can see above.

It’s seems like it has been a LONG time since we’ve seen all the Wu-Tang members put projects in motion. Its exciting to see that WTC is laying down all these tracks for us recession-hit hip-hop listeners when clearly they don’t need our money.
