The Bad Rabbits are at it again.

Less than a week before American Love drops (preorder it), Boston’s Bad Rabbits have released another single for fans to enjoy. “Can’t fool Me” harken’s back to the style of the Stick Up Kids EP from a few years back (more so than the other recent singles, that is), and is just as fun, boisterous, and funky as we have come to expect. The Connecticut natives announced the free download via Twitter, saying “For the next two days both of our albums are up for free download, go grab em!” They also said that the apparent working title of their latest release was From The Heart. REVIEW: The Guru – Go Easy

Artist: The Guru
Album: Go Easy
Label: Seagreen Records
Genre: Funk / Indie Rock

Most modern scene music is sad. It’s mostly emo music or music based around some form of punk rock, laced with emotions, with typical lyrics about break ups and heart break and ex-girlfriends and angst. Connecticut’s The Guru are not without their share of meaningful lyrics, but it’s not emo music by any stretch. The Guru are a white Earth Wind & Fire with Modest Mouse, Brock-era vocals and more indie songwriting. Their second full length, Go Easy, is their best release yet.

I think it goes without saying that whether you like him or not, you’ve at least heard a song by John Mayer. Ever since his debut on the national scene, Mayer has blazed a path all his own and has become the young hope of rock and roll in an era flooded by overproduction and bad metal. Throughout out each release and side project, Mayer has made music he loved and felt passionate about while fans everywhere followed closely behind. Now, with the release of his fourth studio album, Battle

Oh how I miss Spitalfield. I know that’s an awkward way to lead into a review, but it’s the truth and luckily former Spitalfield vocalist/guitarist Mark Rose heard my cries, along with many others, and has responded with his first officially released solo material. The Greatest Lakes shows vast maturity and style difference …
