UTG STREAM: Hello Monster – “Everything You Want”

If there is a better way to spend a Tuesday afternoon than discovering new music I have yet to discover it. Frankly, I’m not sure I want to.

This afternoon UTG is proud to present the world premiere of Hello Monster’s new song, “Everything You Want.”

Taken from the groups forthcoming full length PS I’m Home, “Everything You Want” showcases Hello Monster’s post-pop punk sound in all its catchy, foot-tapping glory. The lyrics are your standard reiteration of growing up, learning that life doesn’t care about your so-called plans, and the determination to continue on in the face of …

The front man for the now defunct punk-pop outfit The Academy Is… has been teasing a big announcement for the better part of the week… and here it is. Well, it’s less of an announcement and more of a collection of things.

First and most importantly, Beckett confirmed that he is at work on his full length solo debut and that he will be releasing the album some time in 2013 on venerable Albany, NY-based punk label Equal Vision Records. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Last night post-hardcore outfit Touché Amoré revealed that they had just begun writing new music.

The news came courtesy of lead singer Jeremy Bolm’s Twitter feed.

The band has been on a prolific run of releases as of late. Earlier this year the group put out a split with Pianos Become The Teeth. It looks like the group has another split scheduled for 2013 with gritty pop-punkers Title Fight, though that news of that release hasn’t been confirmed by either act or their respective …

MUSIC VIDEO: Casey Desmond – “Bad Habit”

Casey Desmond, best known as a participant on Season 1 of NBC’s The Voice, recently made a music video for her single, “Bad Habit”. The song is from her most recent album, Deja Vu.  Ironically, the site premiering the music video falsely calls that album her “debut full-lengthhere – but hey, it’s not like her early work is that easy to find. Maybe someday she will come out with her fourth full length that MTV can pretend is her second.

We’ll keep you updated on her creativity, but be sure to check out …

Say what you will about their at-times generic take on a familiar heavy alternative music concept, but …
