Rumors have swirled for months over what had become of Limp Bizkit. Their much-discussed, somewhat celebrated return was short-lived to say the least, and arguments between members without much direct interaction with fans has left more questions than answers, but tonight it seems we have a bit more clarity. According to a Facebook status posted on the band’s official account around 9:50 PM (EST) on Tuesday:

“Recording starts tomorrow for all you nu metal riff lovin LB fans”

Barring any unforeseen setbacks, this status could very well mean that Limp Bizkit’s Young Money debut will arrive on shelves by Summer …

Fred Durst does not enjoy the likes of American music taste or playing shows in his home country, according to a new interview with Kerrang! He has stated that the US taste in music is only concerned with the next big thing and that people have moved on from liking his band Limp Bizkit. After previous rumors of former House Of Pain disc jockey DJ Lethal being let go from rap-metal outfit Limp Bizkit, it seems that some truth has risen, but only as of recently. Allegedly due to Lethal’s substance abuse problems, notorious frontman Fred Durst has had some issues with Lethal and seems to be the driving force behind Lethal’s departure.

Limp Bizkit and House of Pain’s DJ Lethal confirmed via Twitter that he and Limp Bizkit drummer John Otto have been kicked out of the band. He says they were kicked out due to their “lifestyle, that includes partying and having fun“. This doesn’t come as a complete surprise as Limp Bizkit’s fifth album The Unquestionable Truth (2005) had their drum duties taken over by Sammy Siegler (who has played with Glassjaw, Nightmare of You, and others) due to John Otto’s frequent drug use.

Limp Bizkit signs to Cash Money Records

It appears Limp Bizkit has found yet another way to stay relavent by hopping on the Cash Money Records bandwagon. In a radio interview with Kiss FM, Young Money Entertainment Founder Lil Wayne confirmed the signing, hinting that R&B singer Ashanti might be the next name on the YMCMB roster. Fred Durst Signs TV Deal, Officially A “Douchebag”

Some stories fall out of the industry like gifts from the sky or Christmas come early. This one is three Christmases combined.

Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst has signed a deal with CBS to develop a new primetime sitcom tentatively titled Douchebag. The series will star Durst, who you may remember from :30 seconds in Zoolander, as a “rock legend looking for balance between his high-profile lifestyle and trying to raise a family.” CBS has committed to at least reading the script, though no actual shoot/pilot date has been announced.

Yesterday, Durst loosed the following song online to fans, simply entitled “Hour Alone.”

“Hour Alone,” which Durst released under the moniker Polarbear, was described by Durst as “demo from the road. hotel room. logic. macbook pro (internal mic). just an idea.”
