MUSIC VIDEO: Frank Turner – “The Way I Tend To Be”

UK folk-punk artist Frank Turner released a music video today for his song “The Way I Tend to Be.” The video shows Frank digging a giant hole, and the media getting excited about it. The video has some really interesting visuals, and is generally just well made.

WATCH: Frank Turner’s Five-Song Live Session On Virgin Media Music

Frank Turner recently performed a live five-song session exclusively for Virgin Media Music.

Turner performed songs such as “If I Ever Stray,” “Cowboy Chords,” “The Way I Tend To Be,” “Photosynthesis” and, of course, one of his more recent singles, “Recovery.”

Turner recently released his new album, Tape Deck Heart, which can be ordered here. A review of the album, written by one of our own can also be read here.

MUSIC VIDEO: Frank Turner – “Plain Sailing Weather”

AltPress.com is exclusively premiering Frank Turner‘s new live music video for “Plain Sailing Weather”.

“It’s a raw song, one of the darker cuts from the record. The label spent a while trying to get me to clean up the lyrics, but sometimes you just need to say you fucked up. I also got to use the world ‘fractious’, which was nice, that’s a fine word right there,” Turner told AltPress.com.

WATCH: Frank Turner Performs at SXSW

Britain’s favorite folk rocker, Frank Turner recently performed in front of a wonderful crowd down in Austin, Texas during SXSW.

The singer-songwriter can be seen performing “Recovery”, the single to his upcoming release Tape Deck Heart, as well as “If I Ever Stay”, a track from his 2011 release, England Keep My Bones.

In addition to these performances, Turner’s post-show interview with BBC America at SXSW includes discussion of tattoos and Natalie Portman fans.

MUSIC VIDEO: Frank Turner – “Recovery”

After signing with Interscope, British folk-rock phenomenon, Frank Turner has released his new music video for the first track off his forthcoming album, “Recovery”.

The video is, like the song, fun and creative. It separates the screen into three horizontal planes that shift and mash different sequences together to create something truly unique.

Frank Turner Signs With Interscope

Frank Turner has been the little engine that could of the singer/songwriter world for longer than I care to recall, but as of this morning he’s officially reached new heights. AltPress has exclusively revealed that Turner is now a member of the Interscope Records’ family and will be releasing his upcoming album, Tape Deck Heart, through them instead of Epitaph Records.

Turner announced the album’s UK release last month along with the official artwork and track listing. The artwork can be seen above and the track listing is as follows:

Frank Turner Announces Release Date For Next Album, ‘Tape Deck Heart’

We previously reported about Frank Turner‘s recording back in October, but now we have some concrete information to go on. His next album, Tape Deck Heart, will come out on Xtra Mile Recordings on April 22. There are currently no US pre-orders, but they should be coming soon.

Tape Deck Heart will be the first studio album from Frank since 2011′s England Keep My Bones. We’re definitely looking forward to it here at UTG. The track list can be viewed after the jump.

Frank Turner Plans 2013 Album Release

Singer/songwriter and Olympic swooner Frank Turner has told people a little more about his album: while it was presumed it would be coming out soon, he has now gone on the record to say it will come out next year. On his Twitter, he talked of finishing the recording of the album, but still needing to mix and master it.

What else do we know about it? We know Frank yells “Don’t bitch my shit” at one part. Seriously, that’s going to happen. See the Tweets for yourself here on UTG after the jump.

Dropkick Murphys Announce New Album

Boston punk-rockers, Dropkick Murphys announced earlier today that they will be releasing their new album, Signed and Sealed in Blood, on January 8 via Born & Bred Records.

Following the release, the band will venture off on a huge tour to Europe with folk sensation, Frank Turner. However, not to worry, fellow Americans, the band is currently preparing to head out on their fall tour throughout the U.S. as well as parts of Canada. Check out the dates here.
