Firefly Music Festival 2013 Announce Lineup

After last year’s success, Firefly Music Festival will return this June 21-23 to the Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware. Some of the headliners include: Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Vampire Weekend, Kendrick Lamar, Foster The People, Public Enemy, Passion Pit, MGMT, The Lumineers, and more.

A limited supply of specially priced 3 Day Early Bird passes go on sale tomorrow Thursday, February 21 at Noon EST. If you miss out, don’t worry. Standard Advanced 3 Day passes will become available immediately after.

That self proclaimed pretty motherfucker A$AP Rocky took an interesting turn musically and thought it’d be a good idea to cover the popular radio hit “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster the People. It’s really only part of the song and I’ll pretend like it’s worth the listen and tell you to check it out below. Get a laugh if anything.

Foster The People Announce 2012 US Tour, Tickets On Sale Friday

Foster the People have unveiled plans to embark on a US tour throughout Summer 2012.

The group made the announcement earlier today via their official website. The dates stretch from May to July and finds the group sharing the stage with The Kooks, Tokyo Police Club, and Mayer Hawthorne & The County. You can view the complete list of tour dates after the jump.

Foster The People Cover The Strokes’ “Machu Picchu”

Foster The People recently appeared on BBC Radio 1 and performed a cover that will not soon be forgotten.

The performance took place earlier this week in studio with the iconic British company. The song of choice? The Strokes’ “Machu Picchu.” You can stream the cover for yourself, after the jump.

When asked why the chose this song, Foster The People’s Mark Foster offered “The song title sounds like a Pokémon character. It’s a rock song we wanted to flip on its head. It’s definitely our kind of psychedelic take on this song.”
