Dave Grohl, Corey Taylor & More Join Teenage Time Killer Supergroup

Dave Grohl sure knows how to keep himself busy. Even though he is currently working with his band, Foo Fighters, to release a new album he still managed to take some time away to contribute to a supergroup named Teenage Time Killers. What makes this band a supergroup? Well, including Grohl there’s Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Keith Morris of Black Flag, Jello Biafra of The Dead Kennedys, Randy Blythe of Lamb Of God and ex-Queens Of The Stone Age‘s bassist Nick Oliveri. They will be joining the masterminds behind the group Reed Mullin and …

Rumor: Foo Fighters To Travel The World In The Process Of Making New Album

It’s no secret that Foo Fighters are in the process of recording their eighth album, but they might not be going about it in a traditional manner. Last week, the band posted a picture of master tapes for the LP, which frontman Dave Grohl said last year is being recorded “in a way that no-one’s done before.”

Now, details are surfacing about just what that might entail. According to a report from Triple M via a fan who ran into Grohl in a Chicago bar, the new Foo Fighters record is being written and recorded in twelve different cities around …

Foo Fighters Confirm They Are Recording A New Album

“It’s fucking on” – Foo Fighters

Late Thursday night, fans of the Foo Fighters received a late (or extremely early) Christmas gift from their favorite band with an Instagram update confirming their plans to release a new album.

The image featured a photo of master tapes on a shelf with labels that read, amongst other things Foo-related, ‘LP8.’ You can view the image below:…

STREAM: Eight Songs From Dave Grohl’s Pre-Nirvana Band Uncovered

Eight songs from Dave Grohl‘s pre-Nirvana band Dain Bramage have been uncovered by Antiquiet.

The band was comprised of Grohl, Rueben Radding and Dave Smith. They formed in December of 1985 and had a good two year run before Grohl left the band in pursuit of another band called Scream. Dain Bramage tried to continue without Grohl but even Radding admitted, “After you’ve spent a couple years with Dave Grohl as your drummer it’s easy to feel like no other drummer exists.”

To this day, the band members remain close. An image of the members was tweeted from

Firefly Festival Announces 2014 Lineup

Firefly Festival has only been going on for a couple years, but that hasn’t stopped the event from attracting some of the biggest names in music. This year, the event, which takes places at The Woodlands in Dover, Delaware, has expanded over four days (June 19-22) and seven stages, and they’ll need all the space and time they can get to squeeze in the impressive roster of artists set to play.

The 2014 lineup was revealed today in the form of a video that mashes up hit songs from many of the festival’s headliners. You can see the video after …

Foo Fighters Make Their Return to the Stage at a Pizza Place

Last night, Foo Fighters played their first show in over a year — at a pizza place. Proving they’re still the basically coolest band ever, Foo Fighters performed 23 songs for a crowd of about 200 people at Rock & Roll Pizza in Moorpark, CA.

The Foos likely viewed the surprise gig as a warm up for the pair of big Mexico City shows they’re playing this week with The National but considering the band played a series of shows at fans’ garages surrounding the release of 2011′s Wasting Light, I wouldn’t be surprised if the band actually went …

MOVIE REVIEW: ‘Filmage: The Story of Descendents / ALL’

Movie: Filmage: The Story of Descendents / ALL
Director: Matt Riggle, Deedle LaCour
Director of Photography: Justin Wilson
Editor: James Rayburn, Deedle LaCour, Justin Wilson

The guys in Descendents all knew that they weren’t cut out for the glamorous punk rock scene of Hollywood. Hell, the guys were too busy drinking coffee, farting, fishing, and playing mad scientist to worry about styling their hair and getting leather jackets. That didn’t stop them from changing rock music forever.

In spirit of our recent interview with Descendents’ drummer Bill Stevenson, Under The Gun Review has received an advanced copy of Filmage:

New Foo Fighters Album To Be Recorded In Early 2014

In an interview with the U.K. radio station XFM earlier this week, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl announced that the group has completed writing their next album, and that fans can expect a follow-up to 2011′s Wasting Light at some point within the next year.

“Well, I’ll tell you, we have been in our studio writing, and in the past few weeks we’ve written an album and we are going to make this album in a way that no one’s ever done before, and we’re pretty excited about it,” said Grohl.

The news came as a relief to many, as …

Dave Grohl And Taylor Hawkins’ Chevy Metal Cover “Under Pressure”

How many side projects do the men of Foo Fighters have? Only a mystical man on a mountain can answer that, but Taylor Hawkin’s Chevy Metal performed at the Costa Mesa Fairgrounds this weekend and patrons got a special surprise, Dave Grohl.

Grohl joined his Foo Fighters mate onstage for some covers of Van Halen’s “Panama,” The Rolling Stones’ “Miss You,” and The Knacks’ “My Sharona.” You can check out their cover of Queen’s “Under Pressure” below. It comes after a lot of rambling by Grohl.

Cover bands and side projects aside, there’s new Foo Fighters coming soon. Hawkins told …
