After releasing an 8-second album teaser late last week, Foo Fighters have officially announced the release of their long awaited eighth studio album. Foo Fighters’ New Album Will Arrive In November

Hot on the heels of this morning’s documentary teaser, the members of Foo Fighters have confirmed that their highly-anticipated new studio album will hit stores in November.

As previously reported, Foo Fighters have spent the majority of the past several months quietly working on their eighth studio album. The band used eight different cities/studios to record the album, which reportedly features on eight songs, and along the way filmed their adventures for an upcoming TV series slated to debut on HBO in the fall. Last month, HBO revealed plans to debut a new series hosted by Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl that would find the rock icon traveling the country to visit various recording studios and interview the people behind some of the world’s most influential music. Today, we get our first look at just what the series will entail.

Foo Fighters to Release New Album This Fall

To coincide with the announcement of Dave Grohl’s TV series premiering on HBO, we are pleased to report to you that after all the vague details, the Foo Fighters have officially announced that they will be releasing an album before the year’s end. The as-yet-untitled effort will be the follow-up to the band’s 2011 album Wasting Light.

The Birds of Satan, side project of Foo Fighters‘ drummer Taylor Hawkins, have a self-titled album scheduled to hit stores April 15. We currently have the debut release from the band streaming now after the jump.

Just in case Foo Fighters fans didn’t have enough to be excited about this year, drummer Taylor Hawkins has announced a new project called The Birds of Satan. The group, which also features Wiley Hodgen and Mick Murphy, will release their self-titled debut album on April 15.
