Dave Grohl’s promotion junket for his Sound City documentary seems never ending and we don’t have a problem with that. We reported a few weeks back when the frontman of the recently reactivated Foo Fighters appeared on Chelsea Lately to pique the brain of Sir Elton John.

But Grohl and some of his fellow Sound City Players – in particular, John Fogerty and Rick Springfield – came together last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to bang out a few tracks.

The trio ripped through two songs on the late night show, a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s anthem “Fortunate Son” …

Dave Grohl States That Work On The Next Foo Fighters Will Begin This Week, Confirms End Of Hiatus

Well that was fast.

Dave Grohl, svengali of rock outfit Foo Fighters, has made it clear that his group’s hiatus is over. On February 20, while on stage at The BRIT Awards in London, Grohl told James Corden, the host of the event, “I return to Los Angeles tomorrow to start work on a Foo Fighters record”.

Well the boys in the Brooklyn via Florida have been busy prepping their followup LP,Pythons, over the past couple months. Instead of going it alone, they’re working with some heavy hitters this time around. Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World) produced the whole shebang while Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith, Kevin Devine, Saves The Day) helmed the mixing boards.

Dave Grohl has let the cat out of the bag on his one-off supergroup, and the lineup is jam packed with stars. It unsurprisingly includes, according to NME, members of the Foo Fighters (Dave himself, drummer Taylor Hawkins, guitarist Chris Shiflett, and bassist and Sunny Day Real Estate member Nate Mendel), Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen, CCR frontman John Fogerty, Stevie Nicks, and former Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Alan Johannes, among others. 2012 isn’t over yet, but rapper B.o.B., real name Bobby Ray, is already planning on doing 2013 big.

During an appearance on Sway in the Morning, B.o.B. dished on some of his upcoming projects for the new year. Can you believe he’s going to put out his third album some time in the next twelve months? I mean, his sophomore release Strange Clouds just came out this past May. But that’s not all.
