Virginia Promoter Calls Misser Merch Guy A Faggot; We’re Not Stoked

Tonight, Misser made a stop in Springfield, Virginia on their pop-punk all-star tour with The Wonder Years, Fireworks, and Hostage Calm.

The show was at Empire where 24/20 management owner and concert promoter Tyler Greene (who some may recall as the vocalist for metal band ABACABB) was collecting merch cuts. When Misser merch guy and member of Late In The Playoffs, Dan Schein, gave him their cut, Greene reportedly “called him a Faggot” for not having more to give him.

This promoter must have forgotten about the Internet and the pop-punk community’s distaste for homophobic slurs …

UTG PHOTOS: We The Kings & Fireworks (11/1/12)

Under The Gun’s photographer, Tori Thomas attended Ferris State University’s Autumn Alive featuring We The Kings & Fireworks on November 1.

I’m in the Music Industry Management Association (MIMA) at Ferris State University, and we put on a concert called Autumn Alive featuring We The Kings & Fireworks on November 1. The show hit it off with the crowd and it looked like they had a great time. I’ve seen Fireworks before, but it’s been a couple years. I definitely enjoyed their set, even though I didn’t know many songs from them. Then We The Kings took the stage decked …

Warped Feature Man Overboard

LIVE REVIEW: Vans Warped Tour West Palm Beach, FL 7/28

If it weren’t for the Vans Warped Tour, I wouldn’t be writing this piece. Aside from the fact that there needs to be an event worth writing about to be able to write about said event, I wouldn’t have as much of a passion for the music that I listen to if it weren’t for all of those early years of attending Warped. All of that goes to show that Warped holds a special place in the heart of many people all spread throughout the country who share a passion for music.

Without further ado, here’s what I have!…

UTG FEATURE WARPED

EDITORIAL: Camden, NJ Warped Tour, My Brother, and I – A Written + Photo Essay

The Vans’ Warped Tour. Say what you want about the genre changes within the tour, Kevin Lyman has created an event that has become engrained in the fabric of kids’ Summers. I haven’t been going to Warped Tour for long, I’ll admit. And to be honest, Warped Tour has always been one of those tours that I go to, but I don’t necessarily enjoy as much as the next kid. There is something I frankly don’t like about the festival atmosphere. So this year, I decided to do Warped Tour a little differently. In addition to covering the tour through

STREAM: Fireworks – “Don’t Blame It On the Ocean Floor (Acoustic)”

Detroit pop-punk group Fireworks’ acoustic version of their song “Don’t Blame it On the Ocean Floor” has been released online, and it can be heard here. The song comes off of their acoustic flexi-7inch that was sent out with the repressing of their EP “We Are Everywhere.” It’s a really cool take on the song, so make sure you check it out.

Did you like it? Did you pick up the new repressing? Let UTG know in the comments what you think!
