UTG EXCLUSIVE: Interview With Yellowcard’s Ryan Mendez

Recently at Vans’ Warped Tour in Camden, NJ, I sat down with Ryan Mendez, guitar player of Yellowcard to talk about the tour, bands they are excited about, their new record Southern Air, and their Fall plans. It was an absolute pleasure speaking with the man, and it only got me more anxious to see what Yellowcard has in store for us in the coming months.

You can check out the interview in two different ways after the break (because I know some people rather read), either the actual audio from the interview, or the transcribed version.

Yellowcard to Tour This Fall With The Wonder Years and We Are The In Crowd

Florida pop-punk band Yellowcard have previously announced during their stint on Warped Tour that they would be going on a Fall headlining tour, but they would not give up the opening bands. It seems that through a leak of a promotional poster, labelmates The Wonder Years and We Are the In Crowd will be the ones filling up the opener slot out on tour with Yellowcard this fall. Now, anyone who has met me knows the extreme amounts of love that I have for Yellowcard and The Wonder Years, so this tour is going to be the one to beat …

Circa Survive Announce Fall Tour

Philadelphia group Circa Survive announced the Violent Waves Fall tour today, and it’s arguably one of the best tours of the year. Massachusetts hardcore group Defeater announced an Australian tour this Fall with Philly hardcore legends Blacklisted. Australia, you just got a really, really fun tour. The tour is over the course of late September and early October, and will have plenty of stage dives to go around. This Fall is going to be insane. Pop-punk band Taking Back Sunday confirmed in a recent video with Punk Videos Rock that they will be playing a 10 Year Anniversary tour for their mindblowingly awesome and influential record Tell All Your Friends. Take that in for a second, Taking Back Sunday is going to be playing Tell All Your Friends, probably front to back. Yes, you did almost just have a minor posi-jump induced heart attack. While they didn’t give any official details (Warped Tour makes the bands on the tour keep their fall plans tight lipped), we …
