Thomas Erak (Ex-Fall Of Troy) Joins Chiodos

Michigan’s hard rock act Chiodos has officially announced Thomas Erak (ex-Fall Of Troy) as their new guitarist. The decision comes two months after Jason Hale parted ways with the group.

In an announcement video released this morning, Erak introduces himself to fans, gives some insight into his musical background, and hints at a small change in sound on Chiodos’ new material. You can view the announcement blow.

Chiodos are currently working on their first album with frontman Craig Owens since Bone Palace Ballet. Stay tuned for additional recording updates in the coming weeks.

Ex. The Fall Of Troy frontman Thomas Erak took the reigns as lead guitarist for Michigan hardcore outfit Chiodos the other night in Hollywood. The group recently lost Jason Hale to pursue other endeavors and the group are looking to fill his position.

Chiodos were filmed performing four songs from their catalogue, including “Baby You Wouldn’t Last A Minute On The Creek,” “The Words Best Friend Become Redefined” and more. Progressive Washington State trio the Fall Of Troy have announced that they are bringing the band to a close. In a post on the band’s website, vocalist/guitarist Thomas Erak wrote, “Andrew [Forsman, drums], Frank [Ene, bass] and I have decided to end our career as the Fall Of Troy.” Erak says there was no contention among the members and that the decision was due to the trio being “on three different paths in our lives.”
