Hostage Calm are sad to announce that they will have to cancel a couple of their upcoming shows due to a death in the family. Please read the band’s explanation below. We wish the guys the best of luck in this difficult time.

DAMMIT: Van Halen Cancel Every Tour Date After June 26

Some things really are too good to be true.

After months of hype and fantastic tickets sales, Van Halen have announced the cancellation of every tour date following their June 26 appearance in New Orleans. According to Pollstar, announcements began to break shortly after noon today, with multiple sources reporting “no explanation offered” in regards to the decision.

Markets affected by these cancellations include: Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, El Paso, Baltimore, E. Rutherford, Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Memphis, Spokane, Reno, Fresno, Wichita and Milwaukee.

Washington punk trio MxPx have announced the title for their forthcoming LP will be Plans Within Plans.

MxPx announced Plans Within Plans on their official website. In the announcement, Frontman/bassist Mike Herrera offered the following explanation for the title:

“I struggled with this album title for a long time. I had been recording this album between tours and booking tours, studio sessions, and trying to live somewhat of a normal life. The Dangerous Summer Are NOT Breaking Up, Announce Australian Tour

Rumors have been swirling that pop rockers The Dangerous Summer had pretty much imploded just before they were to embark on a fall tour with Hit The Lights. Nasty comments were made, fans claimed they were crying on social networks, and a whole lot of blogs got some much needed traffic.

Turns out, it’s not true.

In Flames cancel remaining Mayhem dates, offer explanation

In Flames have announced they will not be performing at their remaining dates of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, nor at their scheduled off dates. Apparently, a one of members currently has a family member in need and as such, the band is leaving the road.

Fireworks have updated their blog with an explanation for their departure from the Manscout Jamboree tour with The Wonder Years. You can read the entry below. Our thoughts go out to Dave Pest and the entire Fireworks family.
