Metalcore veterans and UTG favorites Every Time I Die have announced plans to record new music in 2014. In a Facebook post, the band confirmed that they’re currently at GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts with Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou behind the soundboard, working on a follow-up to 2012′s fantastic Ex-Lives.

The band recently finished up a European tour with A Day To Remember and has announced plans to play the entirety of Vans Warped Tour 2014, so the timing of new music is perfect. With a member of Converge producing the new songs, it’s safe to assume that Every …

Letlive. Release First ‘Renditions’ Track Featuring Keith Buckley

We hear remixes, covers, and collaborations every day, but post-hardcore act letlive. are aiming for a little of all three with their Renditions project. The Los Angeles band enlisted a number of guest vocalists from around the scene to write and perform their own parts over sections of songs from letlive.’s 2013 sophomore album, The Blackest Beautiful.

Here’s what frontman Jason Butler had to say about the project:

We presented them one song off of our latest album and asked them what they would do with a certain section if I (Jason Aalon) never sang in said section. We

UTG INTERVIEW: letlive. Talk Success, Sustainability With ‘The Blackest Beautiful’

It’s an oddly sensational euphoria, being able to deem something so chaotic, raw and exhilarating as a truly cleansing experience. But, it is the only way to describe a letlive. performance. It can be argued that no other act on the planet contains the crafted balance of poise and passion that you see within the members of this Los Angeles modern punk outfit. It’s not a spiritual sort of cleansing, no. It’s far more transparent and directly impactful. And that is what appears to be the formula behind letlive. — transparency mixed with an unanointed sense of humbleness for …

UTG List: The Best ‘Ugly Christmas Sweaters’ From Bands Available In 2013

I don’t know how much time you’ve spent plotting your holiday shopping just yet, but the must-have item in nearly every band store this season is the “ugly Christmas sweater.” Sometimes sold as a crew neck with a sweater design, these items offer a humorous twist on the classic Christmas sweater while giving artists a decent excuse to cash in on the holiday season through merchandising. We love them, as we know many of you do, and after seeing our social feeds flooded with designs from countless bands we decided to compile all our favorite ugly sweaters to ease your …

ETID New Junk Aesthetic Feature

Chords + Canvas: Jordan Buckley (Every Time I Die)

Now being added to Under The Gun’s vast array of feature content is Chords + Canvas, a fresh new column written by our very own Adrian Garza.

While most musicians grow tired of making noises on the instruments of their choosing, a select few will turn to other artistic outlets, and that is what this series is all about. Chords + Canvas is a series of interviews done with musicians who dabble in the visual arts to varying degrees.

Without a doubt, Every Time I Die is considerably one of the most eclectic touring forces to be based out …

Hatebreed Chart The Divinity Of Purpose 2 Tour With Support From Every Time I Die, This Is Hell, Terror, And Job For A Cowboy

You know who I feel for when I see news like this? I feel for all the parents that are going to be saddled with chaperone duties for their lil headbangers. “It’s a labor of love,” they’ll think to themselves as they jam their index fingers as far into their ear canals as possible while their spawn stands on the outermost edge of the pit. Well, those are the super cool parents. The super, SUPER cool parents will be rockin out right alongside their kids.

Anyways, Hatebreed just announced the second leg of the support tour for their latest release
