The Used Imaginary Enemy Bert McCracken Interview

The Used & Every Time I Die Announce Spring Tour

The past year has been a busy one for The Used, with the release of their latest album, Imaginary Enemy, and touring through most of 2014 with Hopeless Records label mates Taking Back Sunday.

The band is currently still on the touring cycle for their sixth studio album, yet they’ve announced a subsequent spring tour to further promote it. Direct support will be provided by Every Time I Die, who are still supporting their latest ripper, From Parts Unknown. Marzomets and The Eeries will also be along for the ride, opening for the veteran acts.

A Musical Journey Through The Year 2014

2014. What a whirlwind of a year it has been. My life was changing in both my professional and personal life so quickly it was at the point where my physical body couldn’t keep up (I may have gained a few pounds along the way). And now the year has come to a close. Along this roller coaster year, there were album releases that I already expected to be great and others I learned to adore. Then there were others that were somewhat disappointing that I held on such high regard. But in the end, I did appreciate every piece …

Defined By Sonic Residues: A Resonance Of 2014

2014 was a year of polarity. Conflicting forces spinning me in all different directions, fighting to find which molecular force was the strongest. Flipping through the albums that left a mark on me through the entire year, I found that each one presented itself as a singular head-space, an isolated escape. Ranging from a dark and harrowing place, to open invigoration fueled by the sun. It is with this collected communion that I will find myself human, in an incredibly increasingly dehumanized world. It is music, and sounds, and the way in which they vibrate in your ear that proposes …

UTG TV: ETID Meets CYE At Warped 2014

We here at Under The Gun Review like to consider ourselves family. For us, it’s important to keep in mind that the music community is in fact a community. At events like Warped Tour, you get to meet a lot of new people. UTG TV was able to bring together Close Your Eyes and Every Time I Die for the first time.

I’m sure you remember UTG TV’s segment entitled ‘Boozin’ With Buckley‘ we ran with Keith from Every Time I Die not too long ago. Well, unfortunately we couldn’t have a second installment of the boozing (considering …

Dream Riders: The Tour Desires of Your Favorite Artists (UTG Exclusive)

Wikipedia defines a rider as: a set of requests or demands that a performer sets as criteria for performance.

Whether an act’s tour rider is ridiculously egocentric and/or overly materialistic, just plain outlandish in a fun way, a rock ‘n’ roll legend, or far more modest and unshowy than you might expect, nearly every touring artist has at least something that they request from the venues in which they’ll be performing at. It could be something as simple and understandable as a stack of towels, or in the case of some more haughty, self-indulgent artists, a rider might outline …

REVIEW: Every Time I Die – ‘From Parts Unknown’

Artist: Every Time I Die
Title: From Parts Unknown
Label: Epitaph Records
Genre: Hardcore

Every Time I Die are one of the hardcore genre’s most respected and revered acts. They are also arguably one of its most consistent, having produced a discography of critically acclaimed records each littered with genre-defining party anthems tailor-made to incite and inspire a riotous response in a live environment. This consistency of performance, coupled with their personable natures and overall accessibility has enabled the band to amass a notoriously rabid fan-base affectionately known as ETIDiots, who greet every tour and every new record with unrivaled …

Every Time I Die Stream ‘From Parts Unknown’ In Full

The time has come, ETIDiots. Every Time I Die are currently streaming their newest full-length, From Parts Unknown, in its entirety on YouTube. You can gain pleasure (and a gnarly case of whiplash) from all 12 tracks after the jump.

Beginning with the absolutely chaotic “The Great Secret” and frontman Keith Buckley repeatedly screaming “Blow your fucking brains out!”, we know we’re in for one helluva ride with ETID, as per usual — if the singles we’ve heard from the album thus far weren’t evidence enough.

You still have time to pre-order the album through Epitaph Records before it’s …

UTG EXCLUSIVE: Boozin’ With Buckley! Cocktails With Keith of Every Time I Die

Keith Buckley takes his martini straight up, extra dirty, with Lockhouse vodka. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that had he been asked, he would’ve liked it shaken, not stirred.

Last week, UTG TV sat down with the Every Time I Die frontman in a truly James Bond type fashion to get the scoop on the band’s highly anticipated upcoming album, From Parts Unknown.

We posted up in the backyard of Freddy’s Bar in Brooklyn to discuss the new record, ETID’s laser eyes, the band’s video for “Thirst” and playing Warped Tour this summer.
