UTG PHOTOS: Enter Shikari’s ‘The Mindsweep Tour’ in NYC (4/3/15)

Under The Gun Review sent new photographer MJ Rawls to the Gramercy Theatre on April 3, 2015 for Enter Shikari’s ‘Mindsweep’ tour.

If you happen to go to an Enter Shikari show, for one, I hope you get a lot of previous cardio in – you already know you’re in for a very chaotic and unforgettable experience. I had previously done photography for the band at the South by So What?! festival in Grand Prairie, Texas and some set highlights included guitarist Liam “Rory” Clewlow playing inside a massive circle pit and vocalist Rou Reynolds literally jumping into the crowd …

Enter Shikari Cover ‘Game Of Thrones’ Theme

The best covers are always born during the BBC Radio 1 Studio Sessions it would seem. Enter Shikari are the latest to stop in the studio, due to the release of their newest album, The Mindsweep, on Tuesday.

As the band promoted this new record in the studio, they also surprised listeners with an intense and thrilling cover of the popular HBO series Game Of Thrones‘ theme song.

The uniqueness of Enter Shikari’s sound goes incredibly well with daunting style of the score, giving fans of the band and the TV show an exciting twist to their music …

Enter Shikari Release Music Video For “Anaesthetist”

In promotion of their upcoming album The Mindsweep, coming out on January 19 via Hopeless Records, Enter Shikari have unleashed another music video in anticipation of the release.

After releasing the bizarre yet comical video for “Slipshod,” the band has changed gears with their latest visual accompaniment for “Anaesthetist.” The video consists of live shots of the band and those of a man seeking help as he coughs up blood. Musically, there’s certainly a no holds barred mentality within “Anaesthetist” and it shakes up what the entire album may sound like.

Enter Shikari Premiere “Slipshod”

Enter Shikari are known for pushing the boundaries of their signature post-hardcore/electronic blend with every release, but a bonus track from their forthcoming record has went beyond most listeners’ potential imagination. Entitled “Slipshod,” the cut erratically swings from a screamed Rou Reynolds monologue concerning his poor service at a high-end restaurant over swirling instrumentals into a moombahton-esque breakdown, all the while never losing its gargantuan levels of energy.

Absurd in its own right, this does not even begin to describe the accompanying cartoon visuals portraying a conflict worthy of more than its two-minute runtime. Without further ado, though, follow the …

Another solid band has just joined the Hopeless Records family. The Eastborne, UK pop-punk quintet who go by the name of Roam broke the news to their fans earlier today. Having previously toured with now-labelmates Neck Deep, Enter Shikari, A Loss For Words, and many more, Roam could not be any more fit for their new home.

In addition to the exciting news of their signing, the band has also announced that they will be releasing an EP, entitled Viewpoint, on January 27, with a January 26 release date for the UK. You can pre-order the …

SINGLE REVIEW: Enter Shikari – “The Last Garrison”

Artist: Enter Shikari
Song: “The Last Garrison
Album: The Mindsweep

By the time Enter Shikari release The Mindsweep in early 2015 nearly three years will have passed since A Flash Flood of Colour arrived in stores. Enter Shikari have released material in the time between these releases, but any fan of the band knows there is a world of difference between the group’s singles and how they approach full-length recordings. The records Enter Shikari create are as much about delivering a cohesive listening experience with a clear message as they are keeping listeners on their toes from track …

STREAM: Enter Shikari – “The Last Garrison”

Our friends from across the pond, Enter Shikari, just unleashed the new track “The Last Garrison,” the first single off of their upcoming record, The Mindsweep. The track definitely is in a new distinct musical direction, with a heavier focus on the drum and bass and electronic elements. However, this is still Enter Shikari, so the grand scale and heavy hardcore-influenced sections are alive and well.

The thing I love about Enter Shikari is their ability to really push themselves in a wide variety of directions, exploring what it means to be a band. “The Last Garrison” is …
