STREAM: Emarosa – “Mad”

It’s been a few months since Emarosa left Brian McTernan’s Salad Days Studio. Having completed their third studio record, a first with Bradley Walden on the mic, the band began practicing their live set and geared up for their tour with Chiodos, Hands Like Houses, Our Last Night, and ’68.

At their first few shows in late March and early April as well as their live set on tour now, Emarosa have been playing a mixture of old favorites and previously unheard material from their upcoming record, Versus. Still, aside from their two studio teasers (found here and here

In the meantime, the band has premiered another teaser video featuring the members speaking about the album as well as some more new song clips. Emarosa Release Update Video Featuring Some New Music

Oh, Emarosa. It’s safe to say that their fans are split into two different groups right now. The first, which is the group that I and some other staffers are in, is made up of fans who are excited for this next chapter of the band’s career with Bradley Walden at the helm. The second group consists of fans who are skeptical of the band without Jonny Craig. Both groups though, are certainly anxiously waiting for a little taste of new music.

The band and their label have increased the amount of talk about their work, so we’ve been …

TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT: Chiodos, Emarosa, Hands Like Houses, Our Last Night, 68 Hits

Are you ready for the biggest tour this spring? You better be, because Chiodos is back and they’re bringing the newly reformed Emarosa with them.

Both bands have recently gone through some well-documented line-up changes as Chiodos invited founding member Craig Owens to rejoin them along with the inclusion of The Fall Of Troy’s Thomas Erak taking guitar duties following the departure of Jason Hale, and Emarosa bringing Squid the Whale singer Bradley Walden into the fold. Each band is releasing an album this year. Chiodos’ is called Devil and will be released April 1, 2014. Emarosa will follow with …

WEEKLY WAX: Vinyl Releases For The Week Of 1/26-2/1

As a site that covers both music and film, we always love seeing those two worlds cross paths. That’s the case in this week’s edition of Weekly Wax. Movie buffs who also happen to collect records are in, with a few new pressings on the way from Death Waltz Recording Company, including the classic Forbidden Planet. One of this spring’s biggest blockbusters, Divergent, is also getting the vinyl treatment.

Outside of film, Hot Topic dominated the week by launching preorders for two classic Avenged Sevenfold records, as well as announcing plans to carry exclusive colors for a …

UTG ESSENTIALS: Anberlin Favorites And Memoirs

Just yesterday, Anberlin announced that they would be finished with their run as a band this year following a final album and one last tour. Immediately their fandom lit up in a flurry of tweets and wall postings, expressing their love for the band’s career.

I too contemplated their lifetime as a group and their impact on my life. To say that it was important would be a complete understatement. There are few bands I’ve held close to as long as Anberlin and I know that, in that, I wasn’t alone. So I sent word out to my friends in …

Emarosa Have Finished Recording Their New LP

Today, Emarosa called it a wrap on the recording of their 3rd LP.

Just this morning, singer Bradley Walden told me that he had finished recording the harmonies, leaving the rest to producer Brian McTernan to mix this February.

There may still be some finishing touches to be added, as we’ve speculated this week. It seems very likely that letlive.’s Jason Butler will provide some guest vocals on at least one track.

We’ll keep you posted on what’s up as the album reaches completion. Follow us on Twitter to get the info first.…

Letlive. Frontman May Be Guest Vocalist On Upcoming Emarosa Album

I don’t follow a whole lot of people on Twitter, mostly just people that I work with or bands that I’m interested in. There are some musicians that I love seeing regular updates from, and one of those people is Bradley Walden. Mr Walden, as you may know, is the new frontman of Emarosa. The band has been in the studio working on a new album, and fans have been anxiously waiting to hear what they have been working on.

Walden has been updating fans on the progress of the album via Twitter over the last couple of months, …

Tilian Pearson Teases New Material

Tilian Pearson had a whirlwind of a year in 2013 as he released a fantastic solo album that combined his signature vocals with pure pop goodness, his music was featured on ESPN for a month-long span, and of course, his first effort with Dance Gavin Dance finally hit stores. If a recent Instagram post is any indication, though, it appears Pearson doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon as he has posted a clip of brand new solo material that is still in the works.

After hearing the fifteen-second teaser, our staff couldn’t possibly be more excited to hear the …

Emarosa Heading To Studio To Record Third LP

I can now verify that Emarosa will be heading into the studio with producer Brian McTernan in Baltimore later this month.

This will be the band’s third full length record, their first with vocalist Bradley Walden. The band will spend roughly two months at Salad Days Studio recording the album.

McTernan has production credits on albums from bands such as Converge, Thrice, The Movielife, Moneen, Senses Fail, Circa Survive, Fireworks, and Harvard. He also produced Emarosa’s self-titled record in 2009.…
