Mac Miller Announces ‘The Space Migration Tour’

Mac Miller is planning to explore the entire country on his 38-city North American Summer trek, called The Space Migration Tour. The huge listing of dates can be found by simply heading through the “Read More” link provided.

Vince Staples, The Internet and Chance The Rapper will open on all dates and Meek Mill, Earl Sweatshirt and Action Bronson will support on select dates. Last night, members of Odd Future stopped by The Late Show With David Letterman to perform the song “Rusty” from Tyler, The Creator’s new album, Wolf. 

There’s no doubt that Odd Future is a collection of entertaining personalities. During Domo Genesis’ verse, both Earl Sweatshirt and Tyler, The Creator bust out an impromptu choreographed dance. WATCH: Earl Sweatshirt Performs New Songs

At a Flying Lotus show last night, Earl Sweatshirt made a surprise appearance to perform a few new tunes from his upcoming record, Doris.

His set was short, 3 new songs were performed. The first, produced by Pharrell Williams was called “Burgandy.” The second has been hyped on Twitter for a bit, it’s called “Hive,” and will feature Vince Staples.  The third features Mac Miller who was present to perform with the Odd Future prodigy. Earl Sweatshirt to release a collaborative EP with Jesse Futerman?

We’re not one to start rumors around here at Under The Gun, but when we hear Earl Sweatshirt news, we kind of get excited.

The site, Pot Holes In My Blog has reason to believe a collaborative EP between Earl Sweatshirt and Toronto based producer Jesse Futerman is in the works. The project’s expected to be titled, Wanderer and “will feature lot’s of cool Artists that you’d expect to be on it,” according to Earl’s personal Facebook status.

Jesse Futerman is a 21-year-old musician and producer who’s jazz based music sampling would seem to mesh well with Earl’s rapping style. …

I’m not a rap enthusiast by any means. I enjoy it here and there, but my opinion of talent differs greatly from those of my peers and fellow staff members.

I have my favorites, though. One of the most talked about young emcees with the least released material is Earl Sweatshirt. We don’t need to take paragraph recounting his strange rise in the wake of Odd Future’s success, but it should be noted he still has less than twenty-five official tracks (unless we’re missing something). That may be nothing for most young musicians, but in hip hop it’s almost unheard of to have reached a point such as Earl’s on such little material.

We’re still excited that Earl Sweatshirt is back. After making his Odd Future retail debut with a verse of fire on the tail-end of The Odd Future Mixtape Vol. 2, he made is debut on stage.

Since then, he has been making appearances all over the Wolf Gang map. With a verse on Frank Ocean‘s hit record Channel Orange, MellowHype‘s Numbers, and 3 on Domo Genesis‘ No Idols, Earl is getting around.
