Kendrick Lamar Opposes Molly Trend

There have been many artists in the rap world hopping on board with the Molly trend but Top Dawg Entertainment’s own Kendrick Lamar is openly opposing it.

Lamar sat down with MTV’s Sway the other day to briefly discuss what is wrong with this drug. His main point being that he wants to “keep hip hop original and push away the corniness.”

Lawyer Blames Steroid Use In As I Lay Dying Frontman’s Murder-for-Hire Case

The case of Tim Lambesis’ arrest in connection to a murder-for-hire plot took another turn this afternoon as members of the press were informed that his lawyer believes the singer’s steroid abuse is to blame.

Lambesis’ defense lawyer, Thomas Warwick, told the California court last week that the As I Lay Dying singer had become a spokesperson for nutritional supplements, taken to weightlifting, and begun eating healthier in recent years. At some point that currently remains undetermined that Lambesis started abusing steroids, went from 170 to 220-pounds, and in his attorney’s words, “Was not the same person. He was irritable …

Vocalist Xander Bourgeois has revealed he is no longer fronting Rise Records band Secrets.

Announced via a video blog post at roughly 3pm (EST) on April 20, Xander Bourgeois explains his departure by revealing that he spent the majority of the last six weeks in rehab for his ongoing battles with drug addiction. According to Bourgeois he has gotten clean and relapsed multiple times during his time with the band, and as a result of his latest setback he has decided it is best that he leaves Secrets to take better care of himself. Within the last couple hours, a big media scare came about in the form of rumors surrounding speculations on the potential passing of Dwayne Michael Carter, otherwise known as Lil Wayne. Recently, Wayne was admitted into the hospital on this last Tuesday for violent seizures, was later released on Thursday, and was readmitted tonight. According to TMZ, Wayne’s mother is currently in flight to LA to give the yay/nay on her son’s life support.

Well here is a morning headline that’s surprising.

Never Shout Never frontman Christofer Drew has had a history with drugs and crazy behavior, but as of now, the drugs look to be out of the picture. The news stems from a tweet that the Joplin, Missouri native made early yesterday evening.

Never Shout Never released Indigo back in November 2012, and already has plans to release Sunflower in 2013 to go along with their presence on this summer’s Warped Tour.

Police are still investigating the events that lead up to the death of Suicide Silence frontman Mitch Lucker this morning, but a new report out of Orange County, California has shed new light on the case.

According to an updated report on The Press-Enterprise, which can be read here, police have released the following information about the accident that lead to the injury which eventually took Lucker’s life:

Following yesterday’s news of his on stage freak out, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has reportedly checked into rehab for substance abuse. A message posted earlier today on the band’s official website reads:

Billie Joe is seeking treatment for substance abuse. We would like everyone to know that our set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those we offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas. We regretfully must postpone some of our upcoming promotional appearances.

Green Day’s latest release, ¡Uno!, hits stores this week.

I See Stars & Crew Arrested For Drug Possession, Mugshots Released

Michigan’s I See Stars are currently in a lot of legal trouble following the recent arrest of the entire band and crew on charges of drug possession.

According tp The Salina Post out of Salina, KS, I See Stars members and crew were arrested recently for “possession of certain hallucinogenic drugs” and “Use/Intent To Use” by the Saline County Police.
