Watch the Trailer for the ‘Drake Vs Lil Wayne’ Tour

After a major announcement regarding two of the biggest names in hip-hop touring together, the ‘Drake Vs. Lil Wayne’ tour has come out with a trailer to further the anticipation of the lengthy amphitheater-filled outing that begins on August 8 in Darien, NY and ends on September 27 in Woodlands, TX.

This tour comes after the two rappers released their collaborative single “Believe Me” back in May as well as Drake announcing his upcoming album, Views From The 6, that has yet to be recorded. Also, an official release date for Lil Wayne’s Carter V is unsurprisingly yet to …

Kanye West Announces New Single “All Day,” Explains Why Jay Z and Beyonce Missed His Wedding

GQ magazine’s latest issue stars none other than Kanye West and his cover story is an extensive interview that delves into new music, his wedding, and what he thinks of Drake (“Let’s be honest—he got last summer.”). The most exciting bit of the interview is that Kanye does announce he has a new single on the way titled “All Day” that will drop in “the next couple of weeks.” According to Kanye, it’s a club song (like “Don’t Like” or “Niggas in Paris”). As for the album, it’s coming in “most likely September.”

MUSIC VIDEO: YG – “Bicken Back Being Bool”

Elevating himself from the streets of Compton Bompton to the national spotlight, YG has been on quite a tear in 2014. With the release of his game-changing AOTY contender, My Krazy Life, alongside selling out venue after venue from coast to coast on an album-supporting tour, he’s managed to grab the respect of fans and critics alike. As seen in the brand new music video for the DJ Mustard produced cut “Bicken Back Being Bool,” though, it’s obvious YG hasn’t forgotten his roots.

Combining his modern take on the West Coast’s classic sound with visuals straight out of a …

Drake Announces Fourth Album, ‘Views From The 6′

Drake teased a new album about a month ago, and earlier today Billboard confirmed Aubrey’s plans to release his fourth studio album early next year.

Views From The 6 will be the title of Drake’s new album, but truth be told the Canada born rapper has admittedly not begun working on the record in earnest. The reveal of the album’s title and the confirmation of its impending release was announced on Tuesday morning as part of a slew of projects the twenty-something music mogul has on his plate, including his upcoming role as host of the ESPY’s, the two releases …

PARTYNEXTDOOR Shares “Recognize” Featuring Drake

OVO producer / songwriter PARTYNEXTDOOR is gearing up to release his latest album later this month, and less than two hours ago he took to Soundcloud to share a brand new track featuring the one and only Drake.

When you want to generate hype for your next release it’s hard to land a bigger collaboration than Drake, and it certainly helps when he’s essentially your boss. That said, PARTYNEXTDOOR is front and center on this track from beginning to end. Where many Drake guest spots quickly become a Drake track featuring someone with enough money to hire Drake, “Recognize” …

Meek Mill Releases “0 To 100″ Remix

Meek Mill is the latest artist to make “0 To 100″ his own, and you better believe his take on Drake‘s new single does not disappoint.

It’s hard to know where to start when discussing Meek Mill. You can talk about his colorful wordplay, his love of telling stories through verse, or the fact that he continues to release new material while refusing to reveal a street date for his highly anticipated sophomore album. “0 To 100″ finds the Pennsylvania native touching on everything from life to music industry politics, making time along the way to touch on a …

Drake And Lil Wayne Announce Co-Headlining Summer Tour, Reveal Dates

After teasing the idea he may hit the road this summer to promote Tha Carter V back in May, Lil Wayne shocked fans everywhere this afternoon by revealing plans for a massive summer tour alongside music’s biggest name.

Drake Vs. Lil Wayne will be a summer tour event featuring headlining performances from both Weezy and Drake. The tour kicks off August 8 in Darien, New York, and wraps September 27 in Woodlands, Texas. You can view the full list of tour dates at the end of this post.

News of the Drake Vs Lil Wayne tour arrives just as …

G-Unit Make “0 To 100″ Their Own

Just days after surprising the world with their reunion at Hot 97′s Summer Jam concert, G-Unit have become the first group in rap to hop on Drake’s “0 To 100” and make it their own.

“Real Quick” borrows what I would call the ‘title bars’ from Drake’s latest viral hit for a five minute reintroduction to one of the mid-2000s greatest collectives. It’s got solid verses across the board, and its structure is one I am sure many emcees will borrow in the months ahead. You can stream and download the track, for free, below:…

Drake Shuts Down The Internet With “0 To 100/The Catch Up”

As if you needed another reminder that Drake is the one who sets the curve for quality rap music, the Canadian turned international sensation has released yet another surprise track that further solidifies his place atop the hip hop echelon.

“0 To 100/The Catch Up” found its way online Sunday evening without notice or warning. The six minute track is the first to surface from Drake since “Draft Day” hit in March (unless you count his contribution to Lil Wayne’s “Believe Me”), and in a similar fashion the song has been made available for free download. You can enjoy the …

Listen To A Clip Of A New Drake Song

Judging by a brand new clip that just surfaced online, it seems like there is a good chance Drake will be releasing a new single in the very near future. The other night a short clip of a new Drake song was recorded on video. It was quickly cut off though, so there’s unfortunately not too much to enjoy. You can listen to it though by taking a look below the jump.

It doesn’t appear as though he has officially announced a new single, we hope that he will release the entire thing soon. Be sure to check in again.…

Meek Mill Aims For Summer Glory With “I Don’t Know”

We have been fans of Meek Mill for years, but after he received a blessing from Drake last month it’s hard to believe anyone would doubt the Maybach Music Group emcee’s skills in the booth. If haters do still exist, today may be their last because Meek has just released a song that’s destined for major urban radio play in the months ahead.

“I Don’t Know” is the latest song to surface off Dreams Worth More Than Money to find its way online, and it’s as lyrically aggressive as the production and hook are infectious. Mill uses his time on …

UTG PHOTOS: YG’s ‘My Krazy Life’ Tour (4/27/14)

Under The Gun sent photographer, Derek Scancarelli, to Irving Plaza in New York City to photograph YG & DJ Mustard on April 27, 2014.

Last week, I’m sure you saw UTG TV’s interview with YG & DJ Mustard. We conducted that interview earlier in the day before the guys took the stage and made the sold out Irving Plaza shake.

The show wasn’t a typical casual hip-hop show–it had a theatrical set and a constant level of energy. It was thoroughly entertaining and even featured appearances by The Lox and Chinx. As if seeing YG and Mustard throw it …
