Drake confused the hell out of me with “Started From The Bottom.” I’m still not sure I like it.

But hey, who am I to judge? I won’t pretend rap is my game. I loved Take Care and everything preceding it. I’ll very likely love everything that follows. His verse on DJ Khaled’s new single “No New Friends” was sick. This song is too.

“Girls Love Beyonce” hits on — yeah, you guessed it — Drake’s love life and its many problems (See: this). The Chorus samples a Destiny’s Child classic, “Say My Name.” Good song is good.

Young Money artist Drake has made good on promises from last month and released his official video for the song “5AM In Toronto.”

The clip, which is the second video from Drake to surface in 2013, finds the young MC reciting his lines while hanging out with friends in parking lots and indoor volleyball courts (seriously). When compared to “Started From The Bottom” there is not much to be said other than that this clip feels a bit lazy. One could certainly see, from watching the multiple interviews at the Grammys, that Drake was on a high from winning best rap album for Take Care.

He announced during one of these interviews that the title to his forthcoming third effort would be called Nothing Was The Same. Definitely a fitting title for the mastermind behind some of the year’s best singles and featured performances. The album wil be hit shelves and everywhere this summer.
