Dance Gavin Dance Release Statement on Craig Dismissal

Controversial post-hardcore outfit, Dance Gavin Dance, have released a statement confirming yesterday’s news that clean vocalist Jonny Craig has been kicked out of the band. DGD asserts that Craig’s recent public scolding at the hands of Sumerian Records CEO, Ash Avildsen, during DGD’s recent stint on the All Stars tour was the final straw. Although DGD make no mention of Craig’s replacement, multiple sources have confirmed that former Tides of Man vocalist, Tilian Pearson, will be joining the group as their new lead singer. Dance Gavin Dance …

Hardcore act Dance Gavin Dance have just released their new music video for the song “Heat Seeking Ghost of Sex” and can be seen right here on Under The Gun. This track comes off of the group’s latest effort, Downtown Battle Mountain II, through Rise Records. The video is a performance piece of one of their shows and is pretty intriguing.

Jonny Craig enters rehab, Rise/Artery to reimburse scam victims

Alternative Press has learned that Jonny Craig is currently entering a detox center in California to deal with his drug addiction. The article goes on to state that Rise Records and the Artery Foundation will be reimbursing everyone Craig conned in his now infamous macbook scam. Furthermore, Tillian Pearson (ex-Tides Of Man) will be taking Jonny’s place on Emarosa’s current tour and all scheduled Dance Gavin Dance dates ARE still happening (though it’s unclear if Craig will be joining them).
