UTG PREMIERE: Marco Featuring Keano Spitta – “WITIT”

We have been featuring a lot of new talent as of late, but the amount of fresh hip-hop appearing on UTG has admittedly been low. We aim to change that this afternoon, however, and we’ve recruited some of our favorite young talents to help make that happen.

Kicking off 2015 with a bang, WFFW member Marco is back at it with the uptempo ride-out anthem titled “WITIT.” This is the third single from his anticipated mixtape, “$tudio Night$,” and in our opinion it’s one of his best tracks to date. Produced by Tay on the Beat, the song features Marco …

Young Thug And Rich Homie Quan Collaborate On “In The Game”

I’m starting to believe we’re not allowed to move from one week to the next unless Rich Homie Quan and/or Young Thug share new material. The two Atlanta natives, both of whom have been on the radar of every urban music writer for well over a year, have continued their long-running streak of sharing new material by dropping a collaborative effort titled “In The Game.”

You know how this works by now: Thugga Thugga and Rich Homie Quan seem to spend every minute of free time working on new material, and with each passing week one or three tracks find …

Usher Clings To Fleeting Youth By Joining Migos On “Still Got It”

Usher was the biggest male pop star in the world when I was leaving middle school with wide eyes and hopes high school wouldn’t be like it was depicted in every John Hughes movie. That was over a decade ago at this point, and the age of Usher topping charts with every single has long since disappeared. He still packs arenas, thanks in no small part to his vast catalog of hits, but in recent years his singles have largely fallen short of their predecessors’ glory.

This week, Usher tried once more to prove to young people he is still …

Nipsey Hussle Drops “Choke” Feat. Young Thug & Rich Homie Quan

The last day of 2014 is upon us, and if you’re anything like the UTG crew you are still scrambling to piece together the perfect New Year’s Eve party playlist. It’s okay, we’ve all been there. I only have about a dozen songs set myself, but earlier today DJ Drama gave me a new track that simply could not be denied.

“Choke” is a track Nipsey Hussle fans have been waiting to hear for quite a while. The song was originally teased on the rapper’s Instagram and has since been one of the most anticipated tracks off Hussle’s upcoming Mailbox

Listen To A New Thom Yorke Song Called “You wouldn’t like me when i’m angry”

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke will try any outlet to stay away from music-streaming platforms like Spotify and Pandora. Back in September, Yorke dropped his newest album, Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes, to the complete surprise of fans, using BitTorrent.

Another surprise came this week when Yorke released a new track called “Youwouldn’tlikemewheni’mangry” on Bandcamp, which is available for free download. He says to Consequence Of Sound that “BandCamp [is] less technical for some peeps than BitTorrent, and works on Applemobile devices, includes streaming.”

Stream the track below and download the song for any price here.…

Riff Raff & Rae Sremmurd Reign Supreme On New Song “Choppin”

Riff Raff and Rae Sremmurd have each had their most successful year as artists in 2014, so it may come as no surprise that the rap heavyweights are kicking off 2015 with a collaborative single you won’t soon forget.

Taken from Mike Will Made It‘s recently released Ransom mixtape, “Choppin” will soon be the official new single from Riff Raff and Rae Sremmurd. The track boasts bass-heavy production and an infectious hook that sticks in your mind like peanut butter to the roof of your mouth. It’s the kind of ignorant, give no thought to what haters or lames …

SINGLE REVIEW: Fall Out Boy – “The Kids Aren’t Alright”

Artist: Fall Out Boy
Song: “The Kids Aren’t Alright”
Album: American Beauty / American Psycho

The rumors of Fall Out Boy’s plans to release a follow-up to Save Rock And Roll in 2015 have recently been proven true, and now we find ourselves in the midst of a promotional campaign that has encountered its fair share of criticism. We have made it a point to review every new song that has surfaced thus far, and today are continuing those efforts by taking a look at “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” which premiered online earlier this week. If you missed the …

Pusha T Shares Found Footage Video For “Lunch Money”

Just about a month after surprising fans with the release of the Kanye West produced single “Lunch Money,” Pusha T has shared the track’s official music video.

Directed by Emil Nava, the video for “Lunch Money” adds a fun twist on the found footage genre with shots described as “surveillance footage” obtained from a sting operation. What follows is a collection of performance shots, dance battles, money, and fast cars, all while Pusha does his best to smile while simultaneously looking tough for the camera(s). You can view the video, in full, below:…

Rae Sremmurd Stream “Drinks On Us” Featuring Future

Rae Sremmurd are doing everything in their power to promote the fast-approaching release of their debut album right now, including hopping on the latest Mike Will Made It mixtape. Neither release has been shared with the public in full, but late Sunday night a new song from the “No Flex Zone” duo found its way online.

“Drinks On Us” is Rae Sremmurd’s contribution to Mike Will’s Ransom, which is expected to be released online sometime today, December 15. The track is a hazy and hypnotic club anthem, with loads of reverb added to every vocal track to help make …

Fall Out Boy Stream “The Kids Aren’t Alright”

The release of Fall Out Boy‘s follow-up to Save Rock And Roll is inching closer by the day, and this morning we have another new song to experience, debate, love, and (for some of us) hate.

“The Kids Aren’t Alright” is the fourth new song to surface from Fall Out Boy in recent months, but it’s the first we can confirm beyond the shadow of a doubt for FOB’s new record. It’s unclear where “Centuries” will end up, and we already know “Immortals” was created for Big Hero 6, but this track was written …

YG Switches Things Up With “2015 Flow”

After being snubbed during the 2015 GRAMMY nominations, YG has surprised fans and critics by showcasing another side of his talent with “2015 Flow.”

It’s hard to find something to hate about YG’s 2014 debut album, My Krazy Life, but the more you listen the more it’s hard to ignore the fact the Bompton native only used one flow throughout the record. It’s something that could be called both an achievement and an act of laziness, but regardless of where you stand YG has a new flow, and I think you’re going to like it. You can stream …
