So Help Us God: Kanye West Streams “Awesome”

Following the release of “All Day” just last week, Kanye West has shared a new song titled “Awesome.”

Allegedly an updated version of a song first premiered during a live performance nearly two years ago, “Awesome” is yet another vocoder-riddled track from Kanye West. It’s as if 808s And Heartbreaks happened all over again, only this time the lyrics speak to love (likely referencing wife Kim Kardashian) and lack the immediate catchiness of most the material contained on that album. That’s not to say the song is a waste of time altogether, but if you’re looking for the …

Released online late Sunday night, March 8, Freddie Gibbs’ latest solo offering is a three-track collection of new songs that bang hard and offer some of the better rap verses to hit the streets in 2015. It’s nothing too far outside …

Kanye West Shares Studio Version Of “All Day”

Following a live premiere during the BRIT awards last week, Kanye West has shared the studio version of “All Day.”

Rumored to be the latest single from West’s highly-anticipated new album, “All Day” is an high energy track that bangs even harder now than it did during its premiere (which came complete with flamethrowers). It’s an ego-fueled, give-no-fucks ode to the crazy level of success, fame, and sophistication Kanye believes to have achieved in his life. Theophilus London and newcomer Allan London help round out the hooks, but when all is said and done it’s only Kanye that people will …

You’re Going To Really, Really, Really Like The New Carly Rae Jepson Single

Carly Rae Jepsen may have just done the impossible. Though many believed it could never be done, it seems the Canadian vocalist has finally recorded a song that may surpass the catchiness and lasting popularity of “Call Me Maybe.”

Earlier this morning, March 2, Carly Rae Jepsen shared a new song with the world titled “I Really Like You.” The sugar-coated pop anthem offers a high energy tale of love, or at least a crush, and the rush of excitement that follows that first encounter with someone special. The hook may be the simplest chorus of the last year, and …

Big-Sean-2015

Big Sean Stuns With “One Man Can Change The World”

With a week to go before Dark Sky Paradise hits, Big Sean has shared what may soon be considered a modern classic.

Built upon a steady piano accompaniment, “One Man Can Change The World” pairs Big Sean with Kanye West and John Legend for an ode to a child’s endless potential. Sean has always been one to speak of his ambition and how it lead him to turn his dreams into reality, but here he takes things to another level altogether. There’s always time spent paying tribute to Sean’s late grandmother, including a cell phone message. You can stream the …

Wiz Khalifa & Iggy Azalea Share ‘Furious 7′ Track “Go Hard or Go Home”

With less than two months to go until Furious 7 rolls into theaters, Wiz Khalifa and Iggy Azalea have shared their collaborative contribution to the film’s soundtrack.

Titled “Go Hard Or Go Home,” the first track to surface from Furious 7 puts an emphasis on fun and family. The hook may repeat the title of the song over and over, but the heart of the track can be summarized with the line “Give it all for the family.” Wiz and Iggy swap verses throughout, with Wiz taking the reins and (surprisingly) keeping pot talk to a minimum. You can stream …

If you have been anywhere near a radio in the past month you have no doubt heard Mark Ronson‘s smash hit, “Uptown Funk.” The Bruno Mars assisted pop hit has been the most played song at radio thus far in 2015, and early this morning we got a sneak peak at the official remix.

Appearing on Hot97 in New York City well before most of the West Coast had even thought about waking up, Mark Ronson informed the listening audience that a remix of “Uptown Funk” has been in the works for a while. The updated track will now …

Dance Gavin Dance

Dance Gavin Dance Continue To Impress With “On The Run”

Adding to an already acclaimed catalog of intricate rock goodness, Dance Gavin Dance have reaffirmed their unique presence in the world of alternative music with the release of “On The Run.”

The first song to surface from the band’s forthcoming album, which is scheduled for release this spring through Rise Records, “On The Run” offers a little bit of everything fans have come to expect from Dance Gavin Dance. Things begin rather chaotic, with screams pouring through the speakers alongside a furious flurry of sound. That sound remains for a bit, but eventually the song begins to evolve into something …
