Antique Records Announce Limited Edition A Lot Like Birds Cassette Release, Reveal New Logo

Antique Records has partnered with Doghouse Records to create a limited deluxe edition cassette release of A Lot Like Birds’ debut album, Conversation Piece. The pressing is scheduled to be released October 23, and is limited to 100 copies available in two colors (30 gold, 70 black). Pre-orders for the cassette launched today, including multiple bundle packages, and can be found here.

WATCH: Old and New Kurt Travis

A Lot Like Birds frontman, Kurt Travis (ex-Dance Gavin Dance) recently performed an old and new song at his recent solo stop at Chain Reaction. The old song is “We All Make Contradictions,” a track from Travis’ pre-Dance Gavin Dance band, No Not Constant. The new song is untitled. Check out both tracks after the jump.

The Bigger Lights 2011

The Bigger Lights Are On Hiatus?

Christopher “Topher” Talley (The Bigger Lights) has posted a blog hinting that the band are taking a break. The last music that The Bigger Lights released was their sophomore record, Battle Hymn, in July 2011 via Doghouse Records. The band is now listed as alumni on Doghouse Records, which leads us to believe that they are no longer signed to the label.
