We talk a lot about nostalgia, but rarely when it comes to the world of hip hop. Aside from our features on Lord Willin and Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” we have been admittedly lacking in our celebration of legendary releases in hip hop. This morning, however, a headline hit me in the face with all the power the reminder of how old you are possibly can. I knew right away I needed to write something, even if it were only a few lines, because this album was something special to me (even if I was 11 when it came out). Today …

DMX Arrested For Driving Without A License
We don’t have to keep uploading new promotional pictures from DMX. UTG just uses all of his past mugshots for reference.
X was arrested at 2am this morning for driving without a license in South Carolina. The kicker is that the rapper was handcuffed and taken to Spartanburg Detention Center in front of his 5-month-old daughter. She was in the back seat.
DMX had this to say to Fox News after leaving the police station, “No, I didn’t have a license … put the cuffs on me. Brought me here. I paid the money. Basically, just 5 hours wasted for …
HOLY SH!T: DMX Remixes “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”
Wow, I had to pull myself away from tears from listening to DMX’s gangster version of the holiday classic “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”. DMX’s video is undoubtedly the best thing to happen to the internet this morning.
Our red-nosed friend gets a bad ass persona and strapped up with plenty of backup as X spits his hardest rendition. Please click through the jump and listen to DMX transform your speakers into holiday gold. This single will not be sold on iTunes nor will it ever be recreated for fear of Rudolph coming back to the streets.
DMX Slams Drake Over Aaliyah Album
DMX has a new album in stores this week, which means he is currently making the rounds on every radio station, television broadcast, podcast, and print publication that will give him a moment of their time. Somewhere in this mix he took a moment to speak with MTV’s RapFixLive, who asked the “Already” rapper how he felt about Drake’s decision to produce the upcoming Aaliyah album. X responded:
“He has talent, but it’s kinda redundant, it’s kinda the same all the time to me personally. It’s an annoying sound. I’m kinda feelin’ some kinda a way about the fact that …
WATCH: DMX – Undisputed (Documentary)
DMX will release his latest album, Undisputed, this coming Tuesday (September 11). To mark the occasion, X has released a brand new documentary offering fans an uncut look into his life in preparation for the record’s release. You can view the video, which runs roughly fourteen minutes, after the jump.
Undisputed is not the best release in X’s catalog, but it is definitely a record that fans should appreciate. If you were ever a fan, seek out a copy this week and help DMX once again crack the Billboard charts.

STREAM/DOWNLOAD: DMX Ft. Snoop Dogg – Shit Don’t Change
DMX is dropping his Weigh In EP tonight and we got our hands on one of the album’s choice cuts.
“Shit Don’t Change” has production from Dre and an Appearance from Snoop, so you know X is mixing his gravely growl with a dash of the smooth just like back in the day. This one oozes with a timeless vibe that is impossible to shake. Stream, download, and decide for yourself, after the jump.
It has been a hard decade (read: life) for DMX, but he never gives up. Here’s hoping Weigh In delivers more of this, if not better.…
STREAM/DOWNLOAD: DMX ft. Machine Gun Kelly – I Don’t Dance
After weeks of live videos and teasers, the first single off DMX’s 2012 comeback album has arrived.
“I Don’t Dance” features an ironically club-ready beat that X attacks with a focused fury we have not heard in years. Adding young favorite Machine Gun Kelly, who more than holds his own, X ensures young listeners will realize who is (still) top dog. You can stream, download, and enjoy “I Don’t Dance” after the jump.
I had my doubts in 2011, but “I Don’t Dance” has officially ignited my excitement for X’s Undisputed. Stay tuned for album details, videos, future singles, …
