EDITORIAL: “48 Frames Per Second: Advancement or Fad?”

Recently Peter Jackson and James Cameron have come out supporting a new film technology: shooting movies at 48 frames per second instead of the traditional 24 frames per second of film. For people in the film industry that sentence has a lot of meaning and implications, but for most other people it is just gibberish. Since this is such a big deal and will be discussed heavily in the upcoming year we here at the UTG Film department have decided to try and help clear up some of the confusion and explain what everyone is talking about.

Trivium have released the official video for their new single, “In Waves.” You can view the video, which originally premiered on Alternative Press, below:

“In Waves” is the title track to Trivium upcoming album, due out August 9 on Roadrunner Records. We think the album is going to be a huge hit for the band, especially if all the songs sound like this one. Do you agree? Comment below and let us know!

Shawn Harris discusses the end of The Matches

Shawn Harris, former vocalist and guitarist for The Matches, just did an interview with Alternative Press Magazine in which he discusses the end of the band and his new project, Maniac. Read it HERE.
