Dirty Projectors’ have a new track

If you’ve been wearing out the Dirty Projectors’ stunning album Bitte Orca since June, we understand. So have we. Now that it’s almost November, it’s high time for a new slice of complicated vocal counter-harmonies and fluid guitar work.

Back in August, we reported that the band would release an EP for the Bitte Orca track “Temecula Sunrise” that would include a few songs left over from the Bitte Orca sessions as B-sides. Now, you can hear a song from the EP, the dizzily constructed and vaguely funky “Ascending Melody”.

Check it out on the Hype Machine (via Stereogum).
