Los Angeles’ own Kid Ink teams up with Maybach Music Group all-stars Meek Mill and Wale for their fiery music video “Bad Ass.” The video for this single was directed by Alex Nazari.

Ink shows us that if he was involved in a fire he would trust big breasted women to help put it out. We know it would be a pleasant surprise to us as well.

William Beckett Announces Debut LP, Signs To Equal Vision Records

Today is a big day in William Beckett news.

The front man for the now defunct punk-pop outfit The Academy Is… has been teasing a big announcement for the better part of the week… and here it is. Well, it’s less of an announcement and more of a collection of things.

First and most importantly, Beckett confirmed that he is at work on his full length solo debut and that he will be releasing the album some time in 2013 on venerable Albany, NY-based punk label Equal Vision Records. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Could This Be Chris Carrabba’s New Band (Twin Falls)?

Yesterday afternoon we posted about a curious listing on the SXSW music schedule claiming Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba would be performing as part of a new band called Twin Falls. The band has no social network profiles, no releases, and until the schedule went live had seemingly never been mentioned before online. We asked everyone we could for help, and it in the end it was a UTG user who provided the biggest lead we’ve found so far.

Casey Desmond, best known as a participant on Season 1 of NBC’s The Voice, recently made a music video for her single, “Bad Habit”. The song is from her most recent album, Deja Vu.  Ironically, the site premiering the music video falsely calls that album her “debut full-length” here – but hey, it’s not like her early work is that easy to find. Maybe someday she will come out with her fourth full length that MTV can pretend is her second.

Tear Out The Heart Release Debut Album Details

Victory Records’ latest signing Tear Out The Heart have unleashed the details for their debut album, Violence.

The street date for this album is March 19 and there are a couple of surprise appearances that need mentioning. Caleb Shomo (Formerly of Attack Attack!) and Dan Marsala (Story Of The Year) come through on “Undead Anthem” as well as “Coffin Eyes”. Larry g(EE) Makes Television Debut On Jimmy Kimmel Live

Our Texas brethren in funk outfit Larry g(EE) made their television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and rocked the house, courtesy of Ourstage. The group performed the two songs “Yo Mama” and “Camera Phone” for an excited audience.

These songs are off of Larry g(EE)’s EP, entitled Weekends, which was released independently last December. Under The Gun has featured these guys on numerous accounts throughout the past year and believe this is the group to watch take over in 2013.
