Adrian Garza Well, the latest internet craze is starting to pour over into the alternative music world. Matt and Kim have already put up their attempt of the Harlem Shake on Monday, and now We Came As Romans decided to crash in on the party as well. The band recorded this inside of their tour bus which was likely on the way to one of the many stops of the Take Action Tour with The Used and Crown The Empire.

Trap producer Baauer has quickly ascended to the upper echelon of tastemaker approved beatmakers. It’s difficult to quantify a ranking like that, but here it goes. On one hand Baauer, real name Harry Rodrigues, is doing high-profile residencies at Las Vegas nightclubs and making tracks with legendary hip-hop producer Just Blaze. On the other hand, he doesn’t have any songs in rotation on Top 40 or hip-hop radio. Yet.

November 1st, 2012 James Shotwell Psy’s crossover hit “Gangnam Style” has gone from meme to Billboard hit and now it’s infiltrating the world of alternative rock with a new video uploaded to Chiodos’ official YouTube account this morning. In the clip, Craig Owens and crew teach a group of fans who attended a recent meet and greet to dance “Gangnam Style” on what appear to be an empty soundstage. May 1st, 2012 James Shotwell Family Force 5 have released their official music video for “Wobble.”
Taking their turn at storytelling, the video for “Wobble” finds a mad scientist infecting the world with the need to dance through electricity. March 21st, 2012 James Shotwell A day after he made headlines for openly slamming artist collaborations, a new song from Deadmau5 and what sounds like My Chemical Romance vocalist Gerard Way has surfaced online.
Entitled “Professional Griefers,” the latest jam from Deadmau5 has all the fury of a punk rock club packed into a dancefloor ready beat. Way’s presence, if it actually is Way (no one knows yet) goes a long way, but you may find yourself growing tired of the redundancy before the final seconds play out. November 4th, 2011 James Shotwell Pop heartthrob (and terrific dancer) Jason Derulo returned to Youtube and VH1 countdowns today with his brand new video for “Breathing.”
I’m not sure it’s possible to experience true heartache while a club-like beats pounds in the background, but “Breathing” finds Derulo attempting just that against blue lights and empty factories. The song is catchy, the video is meant to swoon the ladies, so if that’s your thing then you’ll probably love it as well. You can see the clip after the jump.
