Röyksopp & Robyn Share “Do It Again” Video

Swedish pop queen Robyn and Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp teamed up earlier this year to release a collaborative mini-album titled Do It Again (out now on Dog Triumph, via Wall Of Sound/Cooking Vinyl). Back in April, they put out a lyric video for the album’s title track, but now the single has gotten a proper music video — and it was worth the wait.

Directed by Martin de Thurah, the “Do It Again” black and white video is a beautifully shot clip that takes place in Mexico and tells a huge story about oppression and rebuttal with the youth and …

Today, at long last, the two have announced they’ll be releasing a new album in the fall.

The album, titled In Return, drops September 9 via Counter Records with the promise of being more mature, coherent, and absolutely stunning. Finally As usual, there will be pop hooks …

The Juan MacLean In A Dream

The Juan MacLean (feat. LCD Soundsystem’s Nancy Whang) Announce New Album, Share “A Place Called Space”

It’s the middle of the week and that’s a good enough reason to dance. Considering The Juan MacLean (the duo of John MacLean and former LCD Soundsystem member Nancy Whang) just shared a new single, you now have the music for your celebration, too.

For the first time since the band’s 2011 odds and ends collection Everybody Get Close, The Juan MacLean will be releasing a new LP. The record, called In a Dream, comes out September 16 via DFA. A press release describes it as being Whang’s “triumph” and “the Nancy Show,” so it’s reasonable to expect the same …

We have always tried to keep things interesting with our mixtapes, and for the last few years …

Caribou Our Love

Caribou Announces New Album and Tour, Shares Single “Can’t Do Without You”

It’s been four years since Caribou‘s excellent LP Swim came out and got everyone up and dancing, including Radiohead. Daniel Snaith has released music since then under his other monikers, Manitoba and Daphni (the latter of which he dropped a split single with Owen Pallett in April), but now the Canadian composer and electronic musician is back with a new record and tour. The album, titled Our Love, comes out October 6 via City Slang in the UK and October 7 via Merge in the US.

In anticipation, Caribou has shared the album’s opening single, “Can’t Do …

La Roux Trouble In Paradise

Stream La Roux’s New Single “Uptight Downtown”

London’s synth-pop singer Elly Jackson, aka La Roux, won over the radio with her 2009 hit “Bulletproof.” Now she’s ready for her comeback. On July 8, La Roux’s sophomore album, Trouble in Paradise, comes out via Cherrytree / Interscope, but today we get to hear the first official single, “Uptight Downtown.”

La Roux is keeping up with the retro style, tossing ’70s disco with electro-pop and funk undertones. Considering it kicks the album off, “Uptight Downtown” has just the right amount of energy and intrigue to keep us on our toes for the next single.

Check out the …

Watch M.I.A.’s Flashy “Double Bubble Trouble” Music Video

Remember the end of last year when M.I.A. was discussing politics and performed “Y.A.L.A.” on The Colbert Report without going too too far? Oh, what a thing of the past.

In her new music video, M.I.A. has gone full Tumblr on us and created a flashy, blurred out, GIF-ready music video for “Double Bubble Trouble” off of Matangi. The video, which she directed, has a political edge sparred by 3D printed weapons and multi-screen shots. Who’s to say if the video will still be interesting come the end of the year, but for now it’s definitely got some …

Deadmau5 while 1 2

deadmau5 Announces New Album, Previews Opening Track

Shortly following the news that deadmau5 is looking to trademark his logo and butting heads with Disney, word has been spread that the DJ/producer will release a new studio album on June 17 (digitally) and June 24 (physically) via mau5trap/Astralwerks Records. The album, called  while (1<2),  is 24 tracks long, making it his first double-disc release.

Regarding the album, deadmau5 says:

It’s a good mix of sh*t I want to do versus sh*t people want to hear or what they would expect. It’s a good balance. It’s not like, ‘Oh, it’s such a departure. He’s doing smooth jazz.’ It

Caribou Owen Pallett

Daphni (Caribou) and Owen Pallett Team Up On Two New Songs

Electronic musician Daphni (Dan Snaith of Caribou) and Canadian renaissance man Owen Pallett have collaborated on a split single, “Julia” b/w “Tiberius,” that’s up for streaming now via FACT. They’re exactly what you would imagine: dance-worthy tracks that progress somewhat slowly, intertwining Pallett’s violin beautifully and, at times, eerily. It’s exactly what we didn’t know we needed.

If you feel like lyric-less music just needs to be loud to be experienced properly, think again. Snaith tweeted some advice on how to listen the songs at their fullest. We vote follow his word.…

Did Lil Jon Just Release The Best Music Video Of 2014?

Lil Jon may not have topped the charts in recent years like he did in the mid-2000s, but that does not mean the man who brought crunk to the masses has stopped making music. In fact, he’s been preparing a major return to the national spotlight, and this week he kicked things off in a big way by releasing an absolutely insane song and video you won’t soon forget.

Titled “Turn Down For What,” the latest from Lil Jon partners the hitmaker with DJ Snake for a club anthem that combines the outrageous tendencies of Jon’s delivery with bass-and-glitch heavy …
