Cursive Announce Tour With Beach Slang

After over a year of being away from the road, Cursive made sure they were on that long roster of bands that put out tour dates early this year. The Nebraska emo outfit will once again be embarking on a month-and-a-half-long series of shows, and this time, they will be taking Philadelphia up-and-coming punk rock outfit, Beach Slang, with them.

This is very big news for both bands, especially since Beach Slang has only been getting started. Although Cursive have not released new music since I Am Gemini from 2012, they have recently remastered their 2003 full-length album, The

REVIEW: Cursive – ‘The Ugly Organ’ Reissue

Artist: Cursive
Album: The Ugly Organ Reissue
Genre: Post-Hardcore, Indie
Label: Saddle Creek

Cursive recently reissued their monumental album, The Ugly Organ. Featuring the original work remastered, and eight bonus tracks, The Ugly Organ revisited is a wonderfully eccentric trip down memory lane.

Featuring a fuller, more prominent production, every percussion hit, guitar resonance, and vocal outburst feels all the more weighted. For those who–and there are many of you–adored the psychedelic rock experience that was The Ugly Organ back in 2003, there is no reason for you to not once again be gawking over its glory these eleven …

Cursive Announce ‘The Ugly Organ’ Reissue And Details For Upcoming Tour

Get ready to feel old. The Omaha, Nebraska-based indie rock outfit known as Cursive have been together since 1995. They released their debut full-length album, The Disruption, in 1996. With so many albums under their belt (thirteen, to be exact), you’d think it would be difficult to pick just one fan favorite but I think it’s safe to say that most people can agree The Ugly Organ is their best work. It was released back in 2003, but people still love it.

It’s because of this reason I am excited to report that the band has confirmed they will …

Cursive Unleash Video For “Drunken Birds”

Indie rock kings Cursive have released the official music video for “Drunken Birds.”

Following an aspiring artist who just can’t find his break, even in the twilight of his life, Cursive’s “Drunken Birds” clip is one not to miss. The song has all the makings of an angsty basement ballad, so you may want to move your chair out of the way before you click past the jump to enjoy the video.

I Am Gemini is available now wherever music is sold.

Desaparecidos Announce Maha Festival Performance

Conor Oberst’s angsty side project Desaparecidose have announced plans to make a rare live appearance at this year’s Maha Music Festival.

Though they have only released one album to date, Desaparecidos have long been a favorite of any Saddle Creed Records diehard. The last time they shared the stage was in 2010, which was their first time together since 2002, so anyone hoping to catch them this time around would be wise to purchase tickets in advance.

News of the performance broke tonight via the group’s official Facebook. The original announcement post read:
