Get ready to feel old. The Omaha, Nebraska-based indie rock outfit known as Cursive have been together since 1995. They released their debut full-length album, The Disruption, in 1996. With so many albums under their belt (thirteen, to be exact), you’d think it would be difficult to pick just one fan favorite but I think it’s safe to say that most people can agree The Ugly Organ is their best work. It was released back in 2003, but people still love it.

Cursive’s Tim Kasher Announces New Solo Record

Tim Kasher is taking some alone time away from Cursive for a second to release his new solo record, Adult Film.

This album comes three years after his last solo effort The Game of Monogamy. No tour plans for Kasher have been tossed out yet, but we’ll keep you posted on that, but we do know that the album will feature some help from songwriter Laura Stevenson and Nate Kinsella of Joan of Arc.

Minus The Bear Stream New Album

Seattle indie rockers Minus The Bear are now streaming their brand new record Infinity Overhead in its entirety. The record will be officially released on August 28 via Dangerbird Records but head over to the band’s official website for an early listen.

Brand New have released news that both Cursive and An Horse will be coming onto their Canadian tour as direct support in August.

Desaparecidos Announce Maha Festival Performance

Conor Oberst’s angsty side project Desaparecidose have announced plans to make a rare live appearance at this year’s Maha Music Festival.

Though they have only released one album to date, Desaparecidos have long been a favorite of any Saddle Creed Records diehard. The last time they shared the stage was in 2010, which was their first time together since 2002, so anyone hoping to catch them this time around would be wise to purchase tickets in advance.

Music Video: Cursive – This House Alive

Indie rock group Cursive have released a brand new music video for their song “This House Alive”. The track is off of the bands latest album I Am Gemini out now on Saddle Creek Records.

The music video, directed by Kevin Slack, follows two twin brothers Cassius and Pollack searching for one another during the winter. The video concept ties in well with the albums concept of brothers separated at birth and then reunited once again. Cursive Reveal UK Tour

Rockers Cursive have announced their June tour throughout the UK and only a handful of dates have made there way online. The tour will begin on June 1 in Brighton but we have no idea where the end will lead them. Keep it locked right here on UTG for further tour itinerary as it is released.
