Chiodos Premiere Music Video For Newest Single “Duct Tape”

Chiodos’ forthcoming LP, Devil, currently slated for an April 1 release via Razor & Tie, has found its way on to a lot of “most anticipated” lists recently. It will be the group’s first effort since the return of founding member Craig Owens, as well as their first to feature the guitar stylings of Thomas Erak (The Fall of Troy), so understandably, there’s a lot to be excited about.

As April Fools Day draws nearer, it seems more and more that the outfit is just as enthusiastic as their fans, having vowed to debut a new …

Required Listening: Chiodos – “Why The Munsters Matter”

Along with the band’s exciting tour announcement, a second song off Chiodos‘ highly-anticipated new album has found its way online ahead of the record’s April 1 street date and it’s streaming over at AbsolutePunk along with its accompanying video.

“Why The Munsters Matter” has already become one of our favorite singles of 2014. The track finds the Craig Owens-fronted version of Chiodos channeling their Bone Palace Ballet sound into a song that questions the meaning of existence. It begins simply enough with hints of ballad-like influence, but as the song builds you realize there is much more …

Chiodos Open Up About Reforming And Recording ‘Devil’ Together

Chiodos haven’t spoken much about Devil since they officially announced it. Fans are, of course, dying to hear more and know as much about the album as possible. Well as of today, just a little bit more light has been shed on the album. Revolver had the chance to sit with the guys and talk a little bit about Devil and what it was like being back together with Owens as the frontman. There are even a few audio clips of previously unreleased songs in the video. You can check it out by taking a look below.

Chiodos Release “Ole Fishlips Is Dead Now”; Reveal Album Title And Artwork

Chiodos has been “back together” since 2012, but aside from some shows here and there, they have been keeping to the shadows, quietly working on their new material.

Today we get a first glimpse at their work with the song “Ole Fishlips Is Dead Now,” which will be the third track on their album, curiously titled Devil. The album will be released by Razor and Tie imprint drk/lght Records on April 1, 2014.

On AltPress.com, where the track debuted, Craig Owens explains that Devil‘s title is “not to be confused with the muscled, red horned man surrounded by

Chiodos Release Teaser Video For New Album

Oh, Chiodos. When are you going to stop teasing us?

The members of Chiodos released a new video this afternoon teasing the upcoming release of their new album. The video features a message in regards to the meaning of the ‘devil card’ (a reference to tarot cards), followed by a compilation of footage recorded during the band’s time in the studio. There is a piano playing throughout most of the clip, but it’s too early to tell if that segment will be included in the actual album. The ten seconds at the very end of the video however, well …

Craig Owens Interviews With Pitcam; Reveals Some New Details Of Upcoming Album

Chiodos have spent this summer touring, and Warped tour was the first full tour the band embarked on since Craig Owens re-joined the group. Last weekend was the UK Warped Tour, which Chiodos took part of. While they were in the UK, the German music blog known as Pitcam caught up with Craig Owens to ask him a few questions about touring, being back with the band and some new details on the upcoming album.

Owens talks about whether or not the band will ever perform any songs from Illuminaudio, how he got involved with donating to the women’s …

Chiodos Debut New Song Live

Chiodos announced at the end of summer that their long-awaited new album would not be out until 2014, but that certainly isn’t stopping the group from debuting new material on their current overseas tour.

Appearing in the UK recently, Chiodos debuted a new song that’s rumored to be titled “Behvis Bullock.” The song is a heavy, hard-hitting track that will probably go a long way towards putting a smile on the face of those who’ve longed for a return to the days of All’s Well That Ends Well. You can view the performance below.

It would be wrong of …

Craig Owens Covers Bikini Kill’s “Rebel Girl”

When I was a teen I listened to a lot of punk and alternative music. One of the bands that I listened to regularly, which was unfortunately after they parted ways, was Bikini Kill. I loved them instantly when I first heard Kathleen Hanna growl the first verse in “Suck My Left One.”

One of my current, and long time favorite groups is Chiodos. They’re currently working on their next full length studio album, and Craig Owens took some time this past September to record a cover of a popular Bikini Kill track, titled “Rebel Girl,” and …

Craig Owens Opens Up About Recording New Album With Chiodos

In case you missed the news, Chiodos are currently in the studio working on their next full length album. Excitingly enough for fans, this new album has the band’s original vocalist, Craig Owens, back on the front lines. When they first got back together they had no intention of writing a new album. However, as they spent more time together, they decided it was the most logical step. I, among thousands of other fans, are very excited for the chance to have a brand new album released by these guys. How has it been though? They were apart for years. …

Chiodos Frontman Craig Owens Guests On New Jon Connor Track

Chiodos frontman Craig Owens has once again lent his voice to a new single from Flint, Michigan rapper Jon Connor.

“This Time” is one of over a dozen songs featured on Jon Connor’s new album, Unconscious State, which hit stores today. The track pairs the mitten state emcee with Kevin George, Yobi, Jenna Noelle, and yes, Craig Owens against a beat that evokes a sense of calm introversion. It’s a love song more than anything else, and though he does not take the route of rapping himself, the contribution from Owens is sure to melt the hearts of more …

Chiodos Sign With Razor & Tie

Just two days after announcing plans to keep announcing things until they have new music to share with us (which won’t be until the Fall), Chiodos have partnered with AltPress to announce they signed a new record deal with Razor & Tie.

Speaking on the deal, keyboardist Bradley Bell offered “There needs to be more labels like Razor & Tie out there. I feel like they actually understand the bands motives and will do what it takes to help us present our vision. It’s going to be a fun adventure that we are about to embark on with them.”

Chiodos Almost Finished Writing New Album; Plan To Record Following Warped Tour

The return of Craig Owens to Chiodos last Fall stirred fans of the Michigan-based group into a frenzy. There were tour dates, many of which sold out, but now that the initial buzz has worn off many are wondering when new music from the group might surface.

While we cannot say for certain when Chiodos will release their new album, we learned at 3PM (EST) today, May 13, that they have been working on new material. The group released a lengthy open letter to fans, and in the message they explain that they needed to learn how to work together …
