MUSIC VIDEO: A Lot Like Birds – “Vanity’s Fair”

A Lot Like Birds have released their long-awaited music video for “Vanity’s Fair” on AltPress today.

The band’s guitarist, Michael Franzino, has deemed this music video as “a goodbye to the Conversation Piece era and get people excited for what is to come.”

Personally, I can’t fathom the direction the band will go with their next record, seeing as how Conversation Piece was such a mulch-dimensional record. What we do know is that the band is currently in the studio crafting it with Kris Crummett. Follow the jump to watch the music video for “Vanity’s Fair”.

Antique Records Announce Limited Edition A Lot Like Birds Cassette Release, Reveal New Logo

Antique Records has partnered with Doghouse Records to create a limited deluxe edition cassette release of A Lot Like Birds’ debut album, Conversation Piece. The pressing is scheduled to be released October 23, and is limited to 100 copies available in two colors (30 gold, 70 black). Pre-orders for the cassette launched today, including multiple bundle packages, and can be found here.

WATCH: Old and New Kurt Travis

A Lot Like Birds frontman, Kurt Travis (ex-Dance Gavin Dance) recently performed an old and new song at his recent solo stop at Chain Reaction. The old song is “We All Make Contradictions,” a track from Travis’ pre-Dance Gavin Dance band, No Not Constant. The new song is untitled. Check out both tracks after the jump.

Kurt Travis was fired from his position as lead vocalist of Dance Gavin Dance in 2010 after former frontman, Jonny Criag, rejoined the Sacramento, California post-hardcore outfit. Travis joined A Lot Like Birds last year and the group released Conversation Piece shortly …

A Lot Like Birds Announce US Tour

Doghouse Records’ A Lot Like Birds have just announced a brand new US tour that will begin in the middle of January. It will start in the band’s hometown of Sacremento, CA on January 12 and end up in Atlanta, Georgia on February 8. Coming along for the tour run will be Decoder and Just Like Vinyl.

UTG definitely believes this is a line-up worth your time so make sure to grab tickets as soon as possible.

STREAM: A Lot Like Birds – Think Dirty Out Loud

Just after being added to the Doghouse Records line-up, A Lot Like Birds have put out a stream of their first single “Think Dirty Out Loud.” ALLB have also revealed that this song will come off of their upcoming album, Conversation Piece, which hits stores and everywhere on October 11.
