UTG PHOTOS: Twenty One Pilots & New Politics (4/26/13)

Under The Gun’s photographer, Tori Thomas attended the Twenty One Pilots show featuring New Politics and Five Knives at the LC Pavilion in Columbus, OH on April 26, 2013.

I arrived to this show expecting nothing but surprises, especially with this being a hometown show for Twenty One Pilots. First in the lineup was Five Knives, however I was unable to make it in time to see their set. Judging from a previous show I saw them at opening for TOP, I’m sure they set the mood for the evening with a flawless performance.

Next up was New Politics

UTG PHOTOS: Twenty One Pilots (5/27/12)

Under The Gun’s photographer, Tori Thomas attended another Twenty One Pilots show this past weekend. She captured some photos from TOP’s show at Grog Shop in Cleveland, OH on May 27th.

After attending the Twenty One Pilots show in Pittsburgh, I had to attend the Cleveland show at Grog Shop (I was planning on attending the Cleveland date even before going to the Pittsburgh show). I was definitely not disappointed at this show! The crowd was significantly larger, but that is expected when TOP plays a home state show. Many fans from all over the state of Ohio traveled to …

UTG PHOTOS: Twenty One Pilots (5/25/12)

Under The Gun’s photographer, Tori Thomas went to Twenty One Pilots‘ first headlining show at Stage AE in Pittsburgh, PA on May 25th.

So I’m a new fan of Twenty One Pilots, which leads this to be my first time seeing them live. I follow the record label, Fueled By Ramen, so I thought I should check out the newest members of the label. The day FBR announced TOP was part of the family, I checked them out and instantly fell in love with their tunes. Not to mention they’re from my home state of Ohio and can …

Twenty One Pilots Sign to Fueled by Ramen Records

Columbus, Ohio natives Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, the duo behind Twenty-One Pilots had some big news to share to a sold-out crowd at the LC Pavilion in their hometown last night.

To a crowd of 2,200+ screaming fans, these two announced that they had signed a contract with Fueled by Ramen Records (Fun., Panic! at the Disco, Paramore). This is pretty big for an unsigned band. To hang with pop giants like those on an Atlantic Records subsidiary is a major step in a musical career.

The band won’t be forgetting their roots anytime soon, though. Vocalist Tyler Joseph …

After leaving Anathallo, Andrew Dost went on a quest, a trip back to his college days when he penned a rough play about Christopher Columbus. Dusting off these older songs, he assembled them onto protools in unique places, everywhere from bathrooms to churches. With help from friends, family and tour mates, he made the collection of songs come alive by playing borrowed instruments, breaking glasses, playing woodblocks. Written, produced, recorded …
