Ralphie May Releases New Stand-up Special Via Netflix

Comedy legend Ralphie May has partnered with Netflix to release his latest stand-up special, and earlier this week a teaser for the premiere was shared online.

Titled Unruly, the latest special from May is his first since 2012’s successful Too Big To Ignore tour. Filmed live in front of a raucous, fist-pumping crowd at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, May unleashes his hilariously raunchy, no-holds-barred perspective on everything from airline travel and the news media, to Chick-fil-A and everybody being a little racist when they drive.

You can view a preview of the special below:

Watch ‘The Simpsons’ Kick Pharrell Out Of Springfield

While many of you were busy watching and tweeting about The Grammys, some of us were perfectly content watching America’s favorite animated family in their regularly scheduled time slot. Yes, The Simpsons aired last night as well, and the latest episode featured an appearance from one of music’s biggest stars.

When presented with the alarming news that their town anthem was actually a by-the-numbers theme song sold to numerous cities around the country, the citizens of Springfield were faced with the task of crafting a new song to celebrate their beloved city. Bart and Lisa eventually developed something worth singing, …

‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Super Bowl Spot Has Arrived!

We told you earlier today that a number of Super Bowl ads were beginning to make their way online, and we’ve already found a second thrilling clip that demands to be shared.

This may seem hard to believe, but as of today (January 30) we are only 90 sleeps away from the release of Avengers: Age Of Ultron. The sequel to Marvel’s biggest film is without a doubt one of the most anticipated releases of the year, and so far the advertising campaign has teased a story far bigger than the first film. The latest ad focuses heavily on …

MOVIE REVIEW: ‘The Imitation Game’ Is Both Thrilling & Heartbreaking

Film: The Imitation Game
Starring: Benedict Cumberbatch
Directed by: Morten Tyldum

Though it feels created almost entirely for the purpose of generating awards season buzz for its lead actor, The Imitation Game is well-crafted World War II tale that is made a tad foolish thanks to bad CGI.

The story of Alan Turing is one that has long been needing a big screen adaptation, but it wasn’t until the last decade that his story found any real sense of closure. The reasoning for that is something I won’t give away in this review, but suffice to say there is a …

Latest ‘Imitation Game’ Trailer Revs Up Oscar Buzz

The hype behind The Imitation Game has been deafening for what feels like months at this point, and somehow we are still two weeks away from the film’s North American debut. We do have a new trailer however, and it serves to only further our excitement for Morten Tyldum’s latest work.

Starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Alan Turning, a man known more for his personal life than the astounding contributions he made to science during World War II, The Imitation Game follows one man’s attempt to bring down the Nazi party at a time when Hitler’s movement appeared unstoppable. The latest …

Leaked ‘Age Of Ultron’ Clip Teases Tension Between Captain America and Iron Man

Marvel has dominated movie headlines for a solid week at this point. Between the leaked Age Of Ultron trailer, the official trailer release, and Marvel’s epic phase three event, the last several days have been flooded with Marvel news, think pieces, and editorials that all translate to massive potential revenue. Today, nothing new was released, but something most missed earlier this week did find its way online.

Thanks to some anonymous person with a cell phone and a YouTube account, the Age Of Ultron clip shown during Marvel’s phase three event has found its way online. The footage shows …

New ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Footage Debuts Online

Ask any comic book fan what the biggest surprise of last week was and they will almost certainly tell you it was the leak of the first trailer for Avengers: Age Of Ultron. The clip, which was originally scheduled to premiere this week, hit the net days before its planned release. Marvel initially responded by uploading an HD version of the trailer, and during last night’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode the company took their efforts one step further by revealing a short clip from the new film.

Thor’s hammer is one of the great oddities in the Marvel universe. …

The Simpsons’ Halloween Tribute To Stanley Kubrick Is Perfect

A number of people on our staff may be closer to 30 than 20 these days, but that has not prevented us from maintaining a strong dedication to The Simpsons. Their adventures have kept us entertained our entire lives in a very literal sense, and this week they won us over once again by paying tribute to the great Stanley Kubrick.

The Simpsons aired the 25th installment of their Treehouse of Horror series last Sunday, and per usual the episode featured a collection of short stories that parodied the world of killers, chillers, and thrillers. The middle segment, which …

Watch The Simpsons Pay Homage to Cat Stevens

So far there have been 26 seasons of The Simpsons, and they never fail to come up with a clever “couch gag” in every episode — one of the many reasons why they’re still running strong. There have been art deco takes, spoofs on “The Harlem Shake” and Breaking Bad, and directorial debuts from Banksy and Don Hertzfeld. The newest addition to their reel? A very yellow take on Cat Stevens’ iconic 1970 album Tea For The Tillerman.

The clip sees The Simpsons replicating the album artwork while other Springfield residents act out a literal interpretation …

New ‘Interstellar’ Trailer Is Everything You Want And More (But Not Too Much)

Christopher Nolan is one of those rare filmmakers who can bring any story to the big screen and fans will line up at their local cineplex to show support. It was not always this way, of course, but over the last decade Nolan has proven himself to be a one of a kind visionary who never seems short on fresh ideas.

For his latest feature, Nolan has given the public a trailer-heavy campaign that has somehow managed to keep the vast majority of his new film’s plot tightly under wraps. We know Interstellar will find Matthew McConaughey heading into space, …

Leaked ‘Hateful Eight’ Trailer Teases Quentin Tarantino’s Latest

There was a time at the very beginning of 2014 when it seemed like the world would never see The Hateful Eight brought to life. The first project from filmmaker Quentin Tarantino since Django Unchained suffered from an early script leak near the end of 2013 that frustrated the Pulp Fiction mastermind to such an extreme he was ready to walk away from the movie altogether. Several months later, following a live reading of the leaked script that was well received, Tarantino brought the project back to life and announced plans to film in early 2015.

Fast forward to early …

Foo Fighters Release ‘Sonic Highways’ Trailer

We are nearing the premiere of Sonic Highways, HBO’s new documentary series following Dave Grohl and the members of Foo Fighters as they travel the country visiting historical recording studios. We’ve known about the show since the beginning of summer, but it was not until this afternoon that we got our first true look at the new series.

The first official trailer for Sonic Highways found its way online this afternoon through the various social channels controlled by members of Foo Fighters. The three and a half minute clip features a variety of music icons, as well as beautiful …
