REVIEW: Chiodos – ‘Devil’

Artist: Chiodos
Album: Devil
Genre: Post-hardcore
Label: Razor & Tie

It’s hard to believe that it’s been seven years since the last time Chiodos released an album with Craig Owens at the helm. It’s been four years since the band released any new music for that matter. It’s been a long time coming, and fans will finally get to hear what the band has been working so as of late. Owens stated that this new album would be more mature, self-reflective and basically “whatever the band wants.” He made it known that they weren’t writing these new songs based on …

STREAM: Chiodos – ‘Devil’

Following a barrage of song premieres over the past week, post-hardcore veterans Chiodos have unveiled their latest album, Devil, in its entirety. The album – the Michigan-based group’s first since reuniting with original vocalist Craig Owens in 2012 – features some of their heaviest material yet as well as their most melodic. The full stream is available after the break.

Following the album release, Chiodos will embark on a headlining tour in the United States and Canada. They will be joined by Emarosa, Hands Like Houses, Our Last Night, and ’68. With that lineup, the shows are guaranteed to …

Chiodos Unleash “We’re Talking About Practice”

Devil is now less than a week away from its release date and Chiodos recently went from premiering one song a week to dropping a new song everyday. Today’s new track is the first full song on the album, which is titled “We’re Talking About Practice.” The band partnered up with Blunt Mag to premiere the video for it, and you can also check it out below the jump.

“We’re Talking About Practice” is one of my personal favorite songs released to date. The band seems to have an endless supply of catchy hooks, and fans will surely enjoy what …

MUSIC VIDEO: Chiodos – “Looking For A Tornado”

In just one week, Chiodos will release their long-awaited fourth album, Devil. The Michigan-based group have been steadily premiering new songs over the past few weeks, and today’s glimpse at Devil comes in the form of a music video for “Looking For A Tornado.” The track is one of the album’s lighter numbers, beginning with only vocals and acoustic guitar, but it quickly builds up the intensity that Chiodos fans know and love. The accompanying video is a compilation of grainy, vintage footage of various disasters and other tragic events, which sets a disconcerting stage for the song. Check …
