I feel like they actually understand the bands motives and will do what it takes to help us present our vision. It’s going to be a fun adventure that we are about to embark on with them.”

Craig Owens recently opened up about the split of his former band D.R.U.G.S. (Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows) and the opportunities ahead with Chiodos. Read what Owens had to say below and be sure to catch Chiodos on tour in 2013.

Last time we had talked on the D.R.U.G.S. headliner, I definitely got the feeling that the band was going to stick around a lot longer than it did. What exactly happened after that day to cause the band to split up?

It was kind of weird, to be honest. The Chiodos opportunity was something that I’d obviously …

To set 2012 off right, the band invited Flint, MI rapper and UTG favorite Jon Connor to the stage to freestyle over an instrumental section during “A Letter From Janelle.” Jon set the room on fire with some quick verses and got the crowd participating with a little call and response.

You can get the rapper’s latest mix tape, The People’s LP on Datpiff now. It features some of this year’s best rhymes over some classic Detroit born and bred Eminem beats.…

Ex-Chiodos, Cinematic Sunrise, Isles and Glaciers and D.R.U.G.S. vocalist, Craig Owens recently performed solo at the Altar Bar in Pittsburgh where Altar TV was able to catch up with the singer and film him playing “Products of Poverty” acoustic.

“Would I consider myself a perfectionist or a performer? Performer. Because I really believe that, well, first of all, nothing’s perfect. And I think that I truly believe that if raw, true passion is involved then there’s going to be imperfections and that’s almost what makes it beautiful,” Owens’ told Altar TV on this episode of Live at the Show.…

Ex. The Fall Of Troy frontman Thomas Erak took the reigns as lead guitarist for Michigan hardcore outfit Chiodos the other night in Hollywood. The group recently lost Jason Hale to pursue other endeavors and the group are looking to fill his position.

Chiodos were filmed performing four songs from their catalogue, including “Baby You Wouldn’t Last A Minute On The Creek,” “The Words Best Friend Become Redefined” and more. UTG realizes the sound and picture quality is not the best for these videos but the point is that Erak tears up the stage. Would you all like to see …
