Blink-182 Announce Efforts To Benefit Victims Of Oklahoma Tornado

Pop punk pioneers Blink-182 have announced plans to launch efforts to benefit the victims of the recent tornadoes in Oklahoma.

Taking to their Facebook today, the members of Blink-182 wrote a passionate letter to friends and fans about their feelings towards the events that occurred earlier this week. We want the full impact of the members’ words to come across, so instead of paraphrasing we’re just going to post their message in full. The band writes:

Transit Release Shirt To Support Boston Bombing Victims

Stoneham, Massachusetts’ Transit has released a brand new shirt intended to help provide relief for the victims of last week’s bombings in Boston.

“Being away from home during a time like last week was one of the hardest things we’ve had to endure as a band. It was endlessly frustrating to not be able to reach out a helping hand to friends, families, loved ones, and our city. We have never been so proud to be where we’re from. We hope this helps,” the band posted to Facebook.

Matthew Mayfield, the strong-minded musician from Birmingham, Alabama, recently released a clip of his new song “In or Out”.

The song will be off of Mayfield’s forthcoming EP, Irons in the Fire, which is set for release later this spring.

A pledge campaign has been set up to promote the EP. Though Mayfield has already successfully surpassed his initial goal, feel free to continue to aid Mayfield in promoting Irons in the Fire. Portions of the pledges will go to help the International Justice Mission.
