There was a time, not too long ago, when a small band named A Day to Remember from Ocala, Florida kept our mouths open from their insanely good blend of pop/punk/hardcore. We are now headed in a slightly different direction with the same intent but a different vibe. Canadian sextet Abandon All Ships! add uniquely catchy melodies tangled with intense screaming and an electro-dance flavor. Hardcore/Brocore rockers Ligeia have changed the name on their Myspace to say: Ligeia (R.I.P.). All shows have been cancelled it appears and the comments are filled with angry ticket holders. No comment has been released by the band that we know of, but we have been told the group was recently dropped from Ferret Records. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
