The Gaslight Anthem Debut Title Track Off Upcoming Album, ‘Get Hurt’

The promotional run leading up to the release of The Gaslight Anthem’s newest record, Get Hurt, is now well under way. A few weeks back, the New Jersey four-piece granted us a first glimpse of their latest effort in the form of “Rollin’ And Tumblin,” and earlier today, teamed up with Rolling Stone to debut the title track off of what will be their fifth full-length album. Check out the slow-burning ballad, which beautifully showcases the latest progression of the group’s signature brand of punk rock, here.

The Gaslight Anthem Share New Track “Rollin’ And Tumblin’”

Riding on the news of their new album Get Hurt (due out August 19 via Island Records), The Gaslight Anthem have released their first single since 2012′s Handwritten. The song, titled “Rollin’ And Tumblin,’” is the first taste we get of the new record and it’s pretty damn good, especially considering its change in sound. Give it a listen after the jump.

The Gaslight Anthem B-Sides Collection Coming, Tour With Jimmy Eat World Rumored

Fans of The Gaslight Anthem should have plenty to be excited about in the coming year. To begin with, it looks like SideOneDummy Records is releasing a b-sides collection on January 28. Amazon currently has the album available for pre-order on both vinyl and CD, albeit without any details or a track list.

A posting on Vinyl Collective says the album will feature 11 tracks including “She Loves You” and acoustic versions of “The ’59 Sound,” “American Slang,” and “Great Expectations.” Keep checking back as I’m sure that Amazon page will be updated shortly.

The Gaslight Anthem To Release New Album In 2014

Still flying high off their critically praised 2012 major label debut, Handwritten, The Gaslight Anthem have just announced that they have been writing music for a new album that will likely be released at some point in 2014.

Brian Fallon Releases Statement On Recording Solo, Future Gaslight Anthem Plans

Brian Fallon, frontman for The Gaslight Anthem, outlined some of his future plans in a statement posted to his Tumblr this morning.

Not one for long winded screeds, Fallon gets right to the heart of the matter:

I’m definitely on a new page, and I have to start there. So, I’m going to make a record by myself, hopefully sometime this year. I’ve just started to work on these songs now, as well as new Gaslight Anthem songs for our next record.

WATCH: The Gaslight Anthem Perform New Song, Discuss New Record

A video has surfaced of The Gaslight Anthem performing a brand new song on their most recent tour.

It has yet to be confirmed, but according to PunkNews.org, the song is tentatively entitled “Halloween”.

The New Jersey rock quartet, released their fourth studio album, Handwritten, this past year, which made it’s way onto UTG’s Best Album’s of 2012 list. However, it seems the group may already be planning their fifth studio record on which “Halloween” may be featured.

WATCH: Brian Fallon – “National Anthem” (Live), Plus A New Vinyl Release

The Gaslight Anthem released a fan’s video on Facebook earlier today of lead singer Brian Fallon performing “National Anthem” live at Ramones Museum & Bar in Berlin on November 2.

The song is off the band’s most recent critically acclaimed studio album, Handwritten which can be purchased on their web page.

The Gaslight Anthem also announced today that as a part of Record Store Day‘s Black Friday on November 23, they will be releasing Hold You Up, a 10″ vinyl featuring the title track, “Misery” and a cover of Bon Iver‘s “Skinny Love”.

Thrice lead singer Dustin Kensrue has had the ominous distinction of being the Yoko Ono to Thrice’s indefinite hiatus.
