Ovlov Have Officially Broken Up

Connecticut-based band Ovlov just announced on their Facebook page that they are breaking up. Really.

On the post, they wrote that “like the last season of Degrassi” they too are putting an end to their limited run. They will still be playing shows on July 11 and August 17-20, although almost all of them are sold out since the band has been riding high since the success of their 2013 LP am. We’ll be busy listening to that and their recent split with Little Big League on repeat as we cry for the remainder of this week (if not month).…

RIP: Crash Of Rhinos (2009-2014)

English quintet Crash of Rhinos released an excellent sophomore album last year, and despite a glowing reception from critics and fans, it seems that Knots will be the last we hear from the band, who announced their breakup today via their Facebook page.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there are any plans for farewell shows, but the band expressed their thanks to anyone who has supported them over the years. You can read the band’s statement below.

It is with with regret we have to tell you all that Crash is no more. We’ve had some incredible times. Some of

The Wanted To Go On Hiatus Following World Tour

…And just like that, a million teen and tween hearts across the globe were broken.

Modern boy band outfit The Wanted, perhaps best known for the hit “Glad You Came,” have announced their next tour will be their last for the foreseeable future.

In a message written to fans posted online earlier today, members of The Wanted broke the news of their decision to take time off by first updating fans on what lies on the immediate horizon: Their 2014 world tour. The guys tell followers they are excited to interact with fans once more, then went on to …

Saviour To Call It A Day

In news that has sent shock-waves through the Australian punk and hardcore community, rising stars Saviour have announced that they are calling it a day.

The band announced their decision via an official statement distributed by their label UNFD today, in which they confirmed that their upcoming shows at Melbourne’s Push Over and Tasmania’s Breath of Life festivals will be their last ever shows outside of Western Australia. The band has promised to announce some farewell dates in Perth in the near future though. They gave no specific reason for the decision to break-up, instead they used their announcement to …

Courtney Love Seems To Be Teasing A Hole Reunion

Courtney Love has spent much of 2013 touring on her own and discussing plans for a new solo record, but a photo posted by the often controversial rocker over the weekend seems to tease that a different kind of album may be in the works for 2014.

Taking to Facebook on Saturday night (December 28), Love surprised fans worldwide by sharing a photo of herself and former Hole guitarist Eric Erlandson. The image, which you can view below shows the two sharing a warm embrace. The caption reads “And this just happened…. @eric_erlandson @maindepowr @LouiseMensch @xMAdMx 2014 going to …

REST IN PEACE: The Gay Blades

This is the most depressing post I have written in 2013. Not only does it bum me out, but it completely caught me and the rest of the staff off guard.

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we must report New York rock outfit The Gay Blades have officially called it quits.

Taking to their social networks after months of silence, the members of The Gay Blades released a message to fans this evening announcing their plans to go their separate ways:

“Been quiet for a long time, but in order to truly focus on new things,

Jonas Brothers Confirm Breakup, Claim It Was A Unanimous Decision

So long, Jonas Brothers.

After weeks of rumors and a cancelled tour due to what some called a ‘deep rift’ in the group, the Jonas Brothers have announced they are officially ending their career as a band. They’ll remain family of course, so this isn’t your typical breakup, but the brothers’ days of playing music together have come to an end.

Speaking exclusively to People Magazine, the JoBros opened up for the first time since rumors of their demise began nearly a month ago. Their comments, for the most part, were relatively short:

“It’s over for now,” Kevin Jonas

Keane Frontman Denies Break Up Rumors, Says Band Will Be Taking ‘A Bit Of Time Out’ From Being Together

What we have here is a classic case of publication versus the artist. One thinks a quote meant the end of one of the UK’s most notable pop outfits in recent memory, while the other couldn’t disagree more. Which is right? Let’s find out.

On Sunday (October 20), The Sun reported that Keane would soon be breaking up after 16 years so singer Tom Chaplin could make a solo album and main songwriter Tim Rice-Oxley could focus on penning hits for other artists. We didn’t run the story because at the time The Sun had no direct quotes or confirmation …

Go Radio Frontman Cut Communication With Band After Warped

As the days go by we are learning more and more about what was behind Go Radio breaking up. We recently published a statement written by the frontman of the band, Jason Lancaster, where he countered what the band had to say about the reason for their breakup. Personal attacks from so called fans are what prompted him to write the open letter.

In a recent interview with Alternative Press, two members open up and claim that after Warped Tour Jason completely stopped all communication with the band. They assumed he was talking to the label and working on solo …

RIP: Go Radio

After seven years, dozens of sad songs, and countless broken hearts mended through sing-a-longs, Floridian pop rock favorites Go Radio have announced their next tour will be their last.

Taking to their social networks this evening, Go Radio members Alex Reed and Steven Kopacz issued the following statement:

“It is with heavy hearts that after 7 years of making music and touring the world, Go Radio has come to an end. For some of you this comes as a huge shock and for our friends and family this will be a certain sense of closure. There is no easy way …

Rest In Peace: Lostprophets

This is one headline I have been waiting all 2013 to write. Not because I hate the band, but because moving forward as they have in recent months would be the worst possible decision a band could make.

Following a year that has found them tied to the alleged pedophilia their vocalist engaged in with multiple minors, rock outfit Lostprophets have announced they are officially calling it quits. The band has not specifically mentioned the drama surrounding Ian Watkins, but one look at their farewell note to fans and the underlying cause to this disbanding quickly becomes clear. Their message …

Woe, Is Me’s Vocalist Comments Further On Breakup

Woe, Is Me recently and abruptly announced that they would be disbanding, and even canceled their upcoming UK tour. The vocalist wrote a huge statement on the breakup, and has now written up another brief comment on the breakup. He also indicates that he’s going to work on some new material, and plans on looking for some guys to start a new band.

Check out what he had to say by taking a look below the jump. We’ll keep tabs on his, and other …
