The latest festival to reveal its exciting lineup is Lollapalooza – which is set to take place July 31 through Aug. 2 in Grant Park, Chicago. Summerfest Unveils Monstrous 2015 Lineup

Summerfest, a.k.a. America’s largest music festival, is set to return to Milwaukee’s Henry Maier Festival Park this coming summer, and earlier today, “The Big Gig” unveiled a monster lineup that features over 90 diverse headlining acts.

Though more artists will likely be added to the bill, presently it seems that Kendrick Lamar, Kings of Leon, Zac Brown Band, and Linkin Park will all set up camp in the Marcus Amphitheater, while The Flaming Lips, Nas, Brand New, and many others will hold down the ground stages for the annual 11-day event. Modest Mouse Announce North American & European Tour

In celebration of the highly-anticipated release of Strangers To Ourselves, the band’s followup to We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank from 2007, Modest Mouse will be heading out an an extensive spring/summer tour throughout North America and Europe.

The band will be making appearances at numerous music festivals and will also be playing smaller venues. You can check out all the tour dates below.

ATTN Internet: Brand New to Re-Press ‘Deja Entendu’ on Vinyl For Record Store Day 2015

Happy Monday, Internet!

Brand New has announced they will finally re-press Deja Entendu on vinyl after the 2003 album has become increasingly (and frustratingly) elusive for years, with copies going for upwards of $500 on ebay.

And while this announcement might spell the end of at least one rather comedic tumblr account, it will undoubtedly be celebrated by both vinyl collectors and Brand New’s legions of fans.

The re-issue will first hit stores on Record Store Day (April 18) as a double LP on black 180-gram vinyl. The RSD-exclusive version will be limited to 1,500 copies featuring special packaging …

In what is seemingly an attempt to observe Valentine’s Day, Brand New frontman Jesse Lacey, along with his wife Ashley King-Lacey, have graced us with their rendition of the beautiful alt-country 1999 Billboard-charting single, “In Spite Of Ourselves” by John Prine.

The video was posted yesterday with a description of: “4 trackin’. Gettin’ irreverent. Working out our harmonizin’ on one of our favorite tunes. Andrea’s southern accent is totally real, Jesse’s isn’t at all,” on a Vimeo account that posed no other word on why or when the cover was actually recorded.

Coming off their Coachella announcement, Brand New announced two headlining shows to tour around it. The band has now announced more shows, including a Coachella sideshow with Built To Spill and Desaparecidos, as well as a short run with Circa Survive.

Brand New will play in Los Angeles at the Shrine Expo Hall on April 15 with support from Desaparecidos and Built To Spill, to coincide with Coachella. Noise rock band Cymbals Eat Guitars just released their brilliant LP LOSE last week and it has caught the attention of numerous new fans as well as bigger music names.
