Black Friday has come and gone, and if you’re anything like me, you probably spent just a little more money than you wanted to on records. The deals were just so good though!
Outside of all of the label sales, a lot of great records went up for sale this week. Circa Survive made the biggest waves with represses of their very hard to find albums, Juturna and On Letting Go, but ShopRadioCast piqued all of our interests with hints at a repressing of Brand New’s Deja Entendu. Brand New is truly an act that needs no introduction. With each new release the Long Island natives have explored uncharted waters with consistent success, and over the past decade built a savagely devoted fan base around the globe.
So, when the group recently announced that they will be performing their entire discography on four special tour dates this December, AND are working on new material, people kind of lost it. Within hours, the masses had taken to the interwebs in an effort to score tickets to this once-in-a-lifetime set of performances.

Those would be scalpers, and according to reports we’ve seen scalped tickets being a huge problem for these four dates. According to a user on Absolutepunk, there are some counterfeit tickets online that people are trying to sell. You can read what the user had to say below the jump.

In conjunction with his two newest LPs, Bubblegum and Bulldozer, Kevin Devine has released part one of a four-part video series about the making of the albums.
In part one, Jesse Lacey (Brand New), producer of Bubblegum, Devine, and the Goddman Band talk about Lacey’s influence on the record, as well as the process of creating the LP. You can view the interview after the jump.
Both Bubblegum and Bulldozer will be officially released tomorrow, but the albums are available to stream here.
Since the days of Vietnam and flower children, music has provided countless individuals with a platform through which to voice their disdain for various national happenings. Earlier this evening, Kevin Devine did just that by streaming “Fiscal Cliff,” the third song to be released off his upcoming album Bubblegum, in “cracked celebration” of the current government shutdown. You can stream and download the track here or after the jump.
From the opening riff, “Fiscal Cliff” is a roller coaster. Propelled forward by a spastic drum fill, the guitar work is gritty and unpredictable, and at times could pass for …
Kevin Devine is one of the hardest working musicians in the scene right now, and one of the most appreciated. Back when Devine announced a Kickstarter to fund his next two albums, the goal was met in under twelve hours. Now Devine returns with the first video from the full band album, with the title track “Bubblegum.”
The incredibly catchy pop-ballad consists of Devine’s notable hooks, though this time with a little grittier production, thanks to producer Jesse Lacey of Brand New fame. The video, which was directed by Daniel Ralston, was filmed around Pennsylvania and holds a story centered …
