Zack De La Rocha, Travis Barker Join Run The Jewels For LA Performance

We’re all loving the new Run The Jewels record over here at UTG. This album feels like a departure from the vast majority of music we’ve heard in the genre this year, largely due to the excellent choice of collaborators. My favorite contributor, Zack De La Rocha, joined the hip-hop duo along with Travis Barker this week for the group’s tour date in Los Angeles.

The Rage Against The Machine frontman spit his verse during the group’s performance of “Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck),” and Travis Barker got behind the kit for “All Due Respect.” You can check …

Angels & Airwaves Have A Novel And A Short Film Coming

As the band and its fans gear up for a new AVA era in the form of their impending record, The Dream Walker, Angels & Airwaves also have other things up their sleeves. The two-years-in-the-making short film under the band’s company, To The Stars, is entitled Poet Anderson. The animated short revolves around a boy who is able to tap into his comatose brother’s sub-conscience in another universe.

Tom Delonge, the band’s frontman, goes into the film’s details in the WRRV interview included below. Delonge also talks briefly about the novel that will be preceding the short film. …

Watch Angels & Airwaves’ New Music Video For “The Wolfpack”

A few weeks ago, we let you in on a premiere of Angels & Airwaves‘ newest single, entitled “The Wolfpack.” The new song is taken from the band’s upcoming full-length, The Dream Walker, which is due out in December, a little over three years after their last record, Love: Part Two, was released.

Today, AVA have released the official music video for “The Wolfpack,” and it involves a lot of masks and a lot of drunken hallucinations. It’s pretty cool, if you ask me.

You can check out the new video below, along with The Dream Walker

Angels & Airwaves Stream “Paralyzed” From New Album, ‘The Dream Walker’

A couple weeks ago, Angels & Airwaves relaunched their website with the impression that the band was ready to take over the world with their new record, Poet, arriving on Halloween of this year.

Today, the band has released the first song, entitled “Paralyzed” (via Rolling Stone), off the record, which is now titled The Dream Walker. The song features a more aggressive rock sound that wasn’t found on previous Angels albums, and an evolution in the band that tells us that they’re growing with the new release, their first in five years since 2009′s Love: Part

Angels & Airwaves Relaunch Website For Halloween Record Release

Earlier this year, Angels & Airwaves made a huge announcement on their Modlife website to its corresponding members regarding the band’s plans for the rest of 2014. Those plans included things like a website revamp, an ambiguous Halloween storyboard idea entitled “POET,” and highly-anticipated new music that Tom Delonge described as “a defining album of [their] career.”

The new AVA website just relaunched today and it’s got quite the cryptic vibe, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.

The band’s new album is reported to be dropping around the time of Halloween. Make sure to check back for more …

TyDi Releases New Song Featuring Chris Carrabba

Australian breakthrough electronic artist, tyDi, has just put out a new song, entitled “The Closer I Get,” off of his upcoming album, Redefine, set to be released on September 30. This track features Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional and Twin Forks.

In a recent interview on The Gunz Show, tyDi mentions that his love for music is very much influenced by the bands he used to listen to growing up, such as Blink-182 and the like. This is made evident in how melodic and alternative-fused his other music is, even with its electronic nature. Having worked with artists such …

Tom Delonge Confirms Blink-182 Are Working On A New Album

Just when you thought it was time to climb atop your Cheshire Cat and ride off into the sunset a second time, a sign of life has emerged from the Blink-182 camp with news regarding the possibility of new music.

There have been rumors circulating in 2014 that Blink-182 were hoping to record, but there was also several reports that the band was having a hard time finding time for them to work together on creating such an effort. Today, Tom Delonge used social media to share an image of all three Blink members as teens. This would not normally …

VINYL REVIEW: Blink-182 – Blink-182 (Hot Topic Exclusive)

Artist: Blink-182
Album: Blink-182
Label: Geffen Records
Original release date: November 18, 2003

I think it’s safe to say that Blink-182 was my first favorite band. Not only their music, but their personality as a group spoke to me as a pre-teen and teenager with an unequivocal desire to be more outspoken and extroverted. My very first (and second) concerts saw Blink headlining and co-headlining and both of those experiences had a lasting effect on the future me. Looking back on it all now, I can’t help but feel that if it weren’t for Blink-182, I likely never would have …
