UTG PHOTOS: FLAG (9/19/13)

Under The Gun sent photographer, Derek Scancarelli, to photograph FLAG in New York City on September 19, 2013.

There has been a whole load of controversy over who can properly deem the title of Black Flag. Given that there are currently two touring lineups performing songs written under that name, it can get quite confusing.

Movie: Filmage: The Story of Descendents / ALL
Director: Matt Riggle, Deedle LaCour
Director of Photography: Justin Wilson
Editor: James Rayburn, Deedle LaCour, Justin Wilson

The guys in Descendents all knew that they weren’t cut out for the glamorous punk rock scene of Hollywood. Black Flag Issues Statement On Black Flag, Flag

In the 1970s, people constantly wondered if rock and roll had a future, and if so, what it would be. By this point in the saga, you most likely already knew this.

Black Flag’s Greg Ginn Sues Ex-Bandmates Over Use of Logo and Name

As with any great band making a comeback, it seems the quarrels, or lawsuits, come before the tours even finish. Two versions of Black Flag reunited this year to make things confusing for fans: Black Flag (led by Greg Ginn) and FLAG (comprised of Keith Morris, Chuck Dukowski, Dez Cadena, Bill Stevenson, and Descendents guitarist Stephen Egerton). Now it seems fans weren’t the only ones to be confused. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Greg Ginn and his label, SST Records, have sued both FLAG and former Black Flag frontman Henry Rollins over the use of the band’s …
