The 12-track effort follows 2013’s Fade Away, and was recorded in Hollywood, California alongside producer Wally Gagel (New Order, Muse).

Best Coast Are “Feeling Ok” With New Single

In the wake of their upcoming album, California Nights, Best Coast have released another new single, titled “Feeling Ok.”

Unlike the previously released “Heaven Sent” and the album’s title track, which contain more reverb and ‘90s rock influences, “Feeling Ok” sticks fairly close to home with the breezy rock sound Best Coast are known for producing. With these three tracks, the SoCal band are setting the stage for what is sure to be their greatest and most polished full-length release to date.

California Nights is set for release on May 5 via Harvest Records. Pre-order the …

Best Coast Premiere “Heaven Sent” Music Video

California surfer rock has found a home in the catchy tunes of Best Coast, but the latest single from the female-fronted band proves to be slightly edgier than their previous releases. The new track, titled “Heaven Sent,” introduces listeners to a more developed and matured Best Coast sound.

The music video, directed by Lana Kim and Best Coast frontwomanBethany Cosentino, does not feature an elaborate story line or dramatic video footage. Instead, Kim and Cosentino have taken a more simple approach, which fits well with the song style and overall vibe Best Coast gives off as a band. The …

Stream “California Nights” & Fall For Best Coast All Over Again

This may seem hard to believe, but Best Coast have not released an album since 2012. It’s not as if they have been hiding all this time, either. The duo has traveled the world at least once since their last record dropped, including dates at countless festivals around the globe. They also spent a lot of time finding a new sound, which they are now sharing with fans through the new single “California Nights.”

Taken from an album with the same name, which is set for release in early May, “California Nights” is a lush pop rock jam that takes …

The band will be heading out on tour this coming February, and will be sharing the stage with The Pixies. If you want to check them out live, be sure to look at the full list …

“I Don’t Know How” Anyone Could Resist The New Video From Best Coast

Best Coast have spent their entire career crafting and refining a unique blend of surf punk and pop that brings to mind the work of Patsy Cline as often as it does The Beach Boys or The Safaris. Their latest single, “I Don’t Know How,” offers the finest representation of this sound to date, and today the band released perhaps the most fitting video accompaniment imaginable.

Standing in an empty pool wearing a simple dress, Best Coast vocalist Bethany Cosentino spends the majority of the video for “I Don’t Know How” singing about love and life while the California suns …

Hear Best Coast’s New Single “This Lonely Morning”

Best Coast is back with a new mini-album called Fade Away due October 22, and they just shared another track off it on Soundcloud. Following up their previously-shared track “I Don’t  Know How,” new song “This Lonely Morning” was written much quicker. “I wrote that song in literally five minutes, sitting in bed one morning, bored,” Bethany Cosentino told Rolling Stone. “The song kickstarted the writing for this record.”

Fade Away is the follow-up to Cosentino and Bobb Bruno’s 2012 The Only Place. Two songs released on Record Store Day by the band–“Fear of My Identity” and “Who Have I …
