Watch Best Coast’s Lyric Video For “This Lonely Morning”

Best Coast have premiered an entertaining lyric video for their single, “The Lonely Morning.” The song is taken from their EP, Fade Away, which was released last month. The video features members of the group on a tennis court as Bethany more or less pelts Bobb with tennis balls. You can watch the lyric video by taking a look below the jump.

The band will be heading out on tour this coming February, and will be sharing the stage with The Pixies. If you want to check them out live, be sure to look at the full list …

“I Don’t Know How” Anyone Could Resist The New Video From Best Coast

Best Coast have spent their entire career crafting and refining a unique blend of surf punk and pop that brings to mind the work of Patsy Cline as often as it does The Beach Boys or The Safaris. Their latest single, “I Don’t Know How,” offers the finest representation of this sound to date, and today the band released perhaps the most fitting video accompaniment imaginable.

Standing in an empty pool wearing a simple dress, Best Coast vocalist Bethany Cosentino spends the majority of the video for “I Don’t Know How” singing about love and life while the California suns …

Hear Best Coast’s New Single “This Lonely Morning”

Best Coast is back with a new mini-album called Fade Away due October 22, and they just shared another track off it on Soundcloud. Following up their previously-shared track “I Don’t  Know How,” new song “This Lonely Morning” was written much quicker. “I wrote that song in literally five minutes, sitting in bed one morning, bored,” Bethany Cosentino told Rolling Stone. “The song kickstarted the writing for this record.”

Fade Away is the follow-up to Cosentino and Bobb Bruno’s 2012 The Only Place. Two songs released on Record Store Day by the band–”Fear of My Identity” and “Who Have I …

Hear New Best Coast Music Off Upcoming Mini Album

September just started, but there’s a bit of summer left over for you to cling on to thanks to Best Coast. The lo-fi California pop rock group will be releasing a new “mini album” called Fade Away. Thanks to NPR, you can hear one of the songs, “I Don’t Know How,” a month before the mini album’s release.

Fade Away has seven songs in total and will come out October 22 through Jewel City, singer Bethany Cosentino’s own newly-launched label. Don’t feel teased by the shortness of the album (or Cosentino’s flirty, carefree vibes in mid-October); a proper …

BEST COAST ANNOUNCE NEW MINI-ALBUM

California duo Best Coast have announced the follow-up to last year’s The Only Place, along with artwork that leaves you nodding and saying, “Yep, that’s a Best Coast album cover.” The seven-track release Fade Away will feature five new songs and two recent ones, those two being the Record Store Day-released tracks “Fear of My Identity” and “Who Have I Become.”

Rather than being released on Mexican Summer, Fade Away will be the first release on singer Bethany Cosentino’s record label, Jewel City, on the 22 of an already stacked October.

The label switch is not the …

Best Coast Announces New EP For 2013

The sun-drenched indie pop duo Best Coast has announced that they will be recording and releasing an EP some time in early 2013.

The group, comprised of singer-songwriter Bethany Cosentino and guitarist Bobb Bruno, took to the YouTubes to spread the good word. The band will be heading into the studio on February 11 to crank out the new tunes. And… that’s about all we know right now. In a “nerdy” video titled “Best Coast announces new EP”, Cosentino gives up the scantest of details about her band’s new EP. But she looks fashionable while she’s doing it, if nothing …
