UTG PHOTOS: Bayside & Four Year Strong (4/4/14)

Under The Gun sent photographer, Derek Scancarelli, to Best Buy Theater in New York City to photograph The Great American Cult Tour on April 4, 2014.

Bayside just wrapped up the end of their headlining Great American Cult Tour. Along for the ride were Four Year Strong, Daylight (who’ve since changed their name to Superheaven) and Mixtapes. If you didn’t get a chance to make it out to one of the shows, have no fear, because three out of four of them will be on this summer’s Warped Tour. To catch Superheaven, you can see their …

The people behind Warped Tour have announced another thirteen bands that will be a part of this year’s festival, and it’s one of the biggest announcements so far. Notable additions in this round include main stage shoe-ins Of Mice & Men, as well as Four Year Strong, Bayside, and Finch. You can check out the whole announcement after the jump.

Bayside and Four Year Strong are currently on The Great American Cult tour together, and Finch spent the better part of last year supporting the tenth anniversary of their scene-staple record, What It Is To Burn

LIVE REVIEW: The Great American Cult Tour – Cleveland, OH 3/5/14 (Photos)

Opening night of the Great American Cult Tour took place in Cleveland, OH last week. As Bayside’s first headlining tour in some time, I was prepared for a fantastic show. I wasn’t disappointed.

I asked local photographer Andy Wells to accompany me and his pictures from the show can be found below.

The lineup: Ohio’s own pop-punk quartet Mixtapes, Post-Grunge standouts Daylight, returning champs Four Year Strong, and then Bayside themselves.…

UTG EXCLUSIVE: Bayside Acoustics: Part 2 – Classics

If you’re a fan of Bayside, you certainly know that their sixth studio album, Cult, dropped last week via Hopeless Records. Before embarking on a nationwide tour with support from Four Year Strong, Daylight and Mixtapes, the boys hosted a day of celebration on Long Island for their record release.

The first stop was at Looney Tunes CDs in West Babylon, NY, where UTG TV had previously sat down with Brandon Boyd, frontman of Incubus.

In honor of the release of the album, we are running a two-part feature cleverly titled, Bayside Acoustics. Part two features three …

UTG EXCLUSIVE: Bayside Acoustics: Part 1 – ‘Cult’

If you’re a fan of Bayside, you certainly know that their sixth studio album, Cult, dropped this Tuesday via Hopeless Records. MUSIC VIDEO: Bayside – “Time Has Come”

Earlier today, Bayside’s long-awaited sixth album, Cult, hit shelves nationwide, and in celebration, the group has released a music video for their single, “Time Has Come,” which you can view in full after the break.

Arguably the strangest music video I’ve seen yet this year, I would recommend avoiding this clip if you’re under the influence of any kind of hallucinogen, as you’ll probably freak out and void your bowels.

If you like what you hear, you can catch the New York-based outfit this coming Spring when they hit the road with the support of Four Year Strong, Daylight, …

Listen To Bayside’s New Album, ‘Cult’

Bayside have long been lauded for their ability to churn out consistent, powerful rock and roll records, and that reputation won’t be taking any hits this year. The group’s sixth album, titled Cult and due out next Tuesday, February 18, is yet another collection of aggressive, guitar-driven songs led by frontman Anthony Raneri’s distinct and catchy melodies. You can stream the record now on Pandora.

Following the album release, Bayside will be taking Cult on the road with The Great American Cult Tour. The March and April dates will also feature sets from Four Year Strong, Mixtapes, and …

Bayside Release New Song “Time Has Come”

In an unexpected Hopeless Records double play today, Bayside have released a new song from Cult. You can stream “Time Has Come” after the jump.

The track comes at the opportune time, as Bayside’s debut record Sirens And Condolences was released ten years ago today, on January 27, 2004 through Victory Records. As someone who got into Bayside through Killing Time, I think they’ve gotten better with every release, and Cult is shaping up to continue that trend.

Cult is out on February 18 through Hopeless Records. Support the band by pre-ordering it here. Don’t forget to …

UTG INTERVIEW: Anthony Raneri Talks ‘CULT’, Being A Father, and Ranking Bayside’s Discography

In December, I had a last-minute opportunity to interview Anthony Raneri, singer and songwriter for Bayside.

As a fan of the band for over nearly a decade, I was glad for the opportunity to pick his brain. After confirming the night before, I scrambled to assemble an interview that 1. would provide insight into aspects of the artist’s life and career unexplored and 2. wouldn’t embarrass me in front of a long-time idol.

I think it turned out very well.

In our 30 minute discussion, we touched on Anthony’s life away from home, his wife, and his new …

Hopeless Records Launch IndieGoGo For Sub City Studios

Hopeless Records has never shied away from giving back to the community. Through their nonprofit imprint, Sub City, which has released albums by Thrice, The Weakerthans, and more, they have raised over two million dollars for a variety of organizations. Now, they are undertaking another great project with Sub City Studios.

Sub City Studios will function as a recording studio, rehearsal space, classroom, and safe spot for at risk kids in Southern California with a passion for music. In partnership with New Directions For Youth, the label is hoping to raise fifteen thousand dollars to hire instructors and …

Bayside Release New Song And Music Video

New York City rockers Bayside are set to release their sixth album and Hopeless Records debut, Cult, on February 18. You can hear the second single from the release, titled “Hate Me,” and its accompanying video after the break.

The video is certainly a strange one, as it makes no mention of Bayside at all. The band performing in the clip is Caraboo, a Long Island, New York band with very little in the way of online presence, but the song is unmistakably Bayside. This sounds like a potentially cool marketing campaign, so if you’re a Bayside fan, …
