With just under two months to go until Christopher Nolan’s behemoth conclusion to the Dark Knight trilogy hits cinema screens, the marketing campaign is stepping up a notch with a new TV spot. This 30-second clip uses mainly the same footage as the theatrical trailer, with a few chilling additions including Sir Michael Caine’s Alfred telling Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale), “You’re not Batman anymore.” The breakneck pace, chaotic crowd scenes, and frenetic editing also give a further indication as to the extent of the carnage Tom Hardy’s ruthless Bane will bring to bear on Gotham.

SCENE & HEARD: The Batman Movies (Part Two)
Written by UTG critic Grace Duffy, Scene & Heard takes a look at the music that makes our favorite films so memorable. Whether it’s the 400-piece orchestra Christopher Nolan used for The Dark Knight, or the dozen or so bands that contributed to the soundtrack of Top Gun, there is no denying the impact music has on movies and this column hopes to highlight the best of the best.

Coheed and Cambria are Deranged
Progressive rock legends Coheed and Cambria have returned. The band just premiered their latest song on IGN.com. “Deranged” will appear on the Batman: Arkham City video game official soundtrack. Epic as usual, “Deranged” taps into a softness that only vocalist Claudio Sanchez can bring. I know what I’ll be listening to all day (if IGN servers can handle the onslaught of fans flocking to the web page hosting the player.) For convenience, we’ve put a player here as well.

SET PHOTOS: The Dark Knight Rises (Batman & Bane!)
Batman-News is a website that every nerd should have bookmarked, but in case you don’t, UTG has you covered.
Earlier today, Batman-News posted the following image (and more) from the set of The Dark Knight Rises:
As you can see, Bane looks freaking badass and Batman looks like he always did (which is endlessly better than the suit Clooney wore in the 90s).
Okay, we can’t resist, here is one more:
Why Batman is bad for Gotham
For years, even decades, people have viewed Bruce Wayne, AKA, Batman as a symbol of hope for the people of Gotham city. Sure he causes a fair amount of trouble, but who else would/could stop The Joker, Harley Quinn, Scarecrow, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, and the other ultra-baddies that try and make the city their own?
Apparently, Cracked Magazine disagrees. To prove the point Batman is bad for Gotham, the joke publication produced the following clip. WARNING: This clip contains foul language and childish humor.

EXCLUSIVE DISCOVERY: Hidden text in The Dark Knight Rises chant audio
Today, Warner Brothers began the site TheDarkKnightRises.com to hype the upcoming film. The site is completely black, but plays an ominous chant on a loop. I took that audio and opened it within Adobe Audition and took a look at the Spectral Frequency Display. I wasn’t surprised to find an image, or text rather, of #TheFireRises within the frequencies. Take a gander at the picture below.
