We all knew it was coming, but you can finally salivate over the debut trailer for Marvel’s latest television outing, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The show will follow the S.H.I.E.L.D. team taking on unusual cases that “haven’t been classified yet – the new strange and the unknown.”

The pilot, which is written and directed by Mr. Avenger himself, Joss Whedon, has no release date, but one can assume it is getting ready for a Fall release on ABC.

From the trailer, we see that the show sits directly in the huge universe Marvel has already created, and the opportunities this show …

Set for release this November, Thor: The Dark World will be the second film (after May’s Iron Man 3) in the Marvel Universe to take place in a post-Avengers world. EDITORIAL: “The Dark Knight Rises: Why The Caped Crusader Couldn’t Take Down The Avengers”

The Dark Knight Rises
marks the unofficial end of the 2012 summer movie season, one that has seen its fair share of surprises and disappointments. Although August still has some high-profile releases left – Total Recall, The Bourne Legacy, and The Expendables II among them – the major studios have all released their $200 million dollar box office contenders by now. Marketing budgets were exhausted and records were set, but the party is now over and the next few weeks should see a calmer box office. Warner Brothers’ TDKR was to be the final celebration of the season, …

As of this morning, the superhero epic became the fastest film to gross $400 million domestically after only 14 days of release. The previous record of 18 days was held by The Dark Knight.

That’s not all. On the worldwide market, Avengers has officially passed Toy Story 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest to become the #6 highest-grossing film of all time and the highest-grossing Disney release ever.

Even with Battleship and The Dictator opening this …

Soundgarden Release “Live To Rise” Video

Soundgarden have unveiled the official music video for “Live To Rise.”

It may have been fifteen years since Soundgarden released new material, but the success of “Live To Rise” has proven that fans are still hungry for more. The video mostly performance shots spliced between badass shots from Marvel’s The Avengers, but believe me when I say that is more than enough to hold your interest. You can view the clip after the jump.

“Live To Rise” is available now on the Avengers soundtrack, as well as all digital stores. If you dig the track and want more Soundgarden …

MOVIE REVIEW: The Avengers

Film: The Avengers
Director: Joss Whedon

We come to it at last. The great cinematic moment of our time. Take a deep breath in, for nerdvana is here. The Avengers (or, as it’s hilariously titled in my neck of the woods, Marvel’s Avengers Assemble) have finally come together on the world stage, realising that utopian vision first hinted at in Iron Man and built upon in a litany of post-credit sequences since. And, without further ado and token sentences about fanboy expectations and comic aficionado Joss Whedon as captain of the potentially troublesome ship, let me say straight out …

HOLY SH!T: Watch Black Widow Kicks Some Ass In “The Avengers”

After half a dozen commercial promoting the faces we know and love, Marvel has finally unleashed the first clip of Black Widow in action.

Obviously using ScarJo as an excuse to make the team a bit more sexy, the first look at Black Widow in action is as hot as it is cool. I would ramble on about the setup and everything, but this is a Marvel film, so it should go without saying that witty dialogue and slick ass kicking lie ahead. Click past the jump and enjoy.

The Avengers arrives in only a few short weeks and so …

TEASER CLIP: “The Avengers”

Marvel has unleashed a teaser of their upcoming Super Bowl ad for The Avengers.

Though only seventeen seconds long, the latest clip for The Avengers is more than enough to make any nerd feel required to watch tomorrow’s big game. You see a bit of everyone, including some slick CGI enemies destroying city streets, but only enough to get you hooked. If you are already planning on skipping tomorrow’s game, I suggest skipping the clip as to not question yourself, but everyone else can view the latest teaser after the jump.

The Avengers opens May 4.
