It was a slow weekend for the cinema, but Batman stays on top. For the third weekend in a row The Dark Knight Rises leads the pack in revenue for the weekend. New releases Total Recall and Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days placed second and third respectively. Total Recall had disappointing numbers despite doing second best of the weekend, especially considering the 125 million dollar budget. BOX OFFICE PREVIEW: August 3
August 3rd, 2012 Justin Proper It is a slow weekend for movies. This weekend has only two films opening in most theaters, a remake and a kids movie. I guess if you really need an action or sci-fi fix you could go see Total Recall, but early reviews would lead you to believe you would be better off just renting the original. If you have kids (or just love kids movies, I guess) then you should check out Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days. You can see trailers for both of these movies after the jump.
