Asking Alexandria’s Bus Struck By Drunk Driver; Band Determined To Make Extreme Thing

Asking Alexandria are shaken, but okay this morning after their bus was struck by a drunk driver in the middle of the night.

UTG is still in the process of creating a full narrative for last night’s events, but according to a tweet from frontman Danny Worsnop at 5:01 AM (EST) the band’s bus was struck by a drunk driver while en route to Extreme Thing. At the time he expressed doubts the band would be able to perform at the event.

Asking Alexandria Premiere “The Death Of Me”

Asking Alexandria have surprised fans around the world and unleashed the lead single off their forthcoming album From Death To Destiny.

Hitting the internet Thursday night, “The Death Of Me” is the AA equivalent to a stiff shot of whiskey out of a dirty glass. It follows the band’s typical lead single structure of ultra-crunchy guitars and ferocious screams taking vocal lead, with all cleans vocals held for the chorus and bridge. Vocalist Danny Worsnop sounds a bit different than before, in a way you could call it gruff or at least the result of half a decade spent …

Enter Shikari Frontman Claims Asking Alexandria Have “No Integrity”

2013 is only three weeks old, but I feel like this year is already proving to be one ripe with controversy and open discussion on hot topics throughout the entertainment community. One of the most notable voices so far this year, Enter Shikari frontman Rou Reynolds, recently spoke out against bands who charged for meet and greets and, as you can probably guess, a few bands were put on blast.

It all started when Twitter user @_meg119 tweeted that she hoped Enter Shikari would never charge their fans for “VIP” status at shows. Rou replied to the girl with the …

UTG PHOTOS: Asking Alexandria, I See Stars, Memphis May Fire, & As I Lay Dying (12/1/12)

Under The Gun sent Head of Photography, Kellie Gannon, to the Monster Energy Tour on December 1, 2012 in Cleveland.

As everyone in the history of the world knows, December is always the most hectic and strenuous month of the year (the Mayans can especially vouch for this, damn those guys).  At the beginning of the month, I attended the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour featuring Attila, I See Stars, Memphis May Fire, As I Lay Dying, and Asking Alexandria.  Then somehow December took over and I managed to finish a huge photo project, Bachelor’s degree, prep to move, and discover …

Asking Alexandria Crash

Asking Alexandria Survive Bus Accident

UK hardcore outfit, Asking Alexandria were involved in a bus accident this past weekend while traveling the U.S. as a part of the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour.

“So our bus had abit of a crash this morning! Thankfully everyone involved is ok! Chicago we are still coming to rock you, don’t worry,” the band tweeted yesterday.

According to GunShyAssassin.com, guitarist Ben Bruce suffered a sprained ankle before Instagraming the bus debris (left).

This, coupled with Maker’s recent van accident this same weekend, may be the perfect opportunity to advise young rockers to pay closer attention to the road, …

STREAM: Asking Alexandria – “Here I Go Again” (Whitesnake cover)

Print publications may be dying off one by one, but Revolver is doing whatever it takes to make sure they remain on shelves for as long as possible. In a promotion with Asking Alexandria, the rock magazine is offering a free EP from the band containing 80s metal covers, as well as the new single “Run Free,” and we’ve brought one of the covers here to UTG for your enjoyment. “Here I Go Again” is one of the UTG staff’s all-time favorite songs, and the choice to have Danny Worsnop lay his vocals to its familiar sound is one that …

STREAM: Asking Alexandria – “Run Free”

Asking Alexandria have officially released the new song that we previously heard live. The song is titled “Run Free”, and you can listen to it by checking below the jump. The band seems to be leaning for a little bit of a different sound than what we’re used to, and in a recent interview the band indicated their next album will be more “radio friendly”. This song is sure to be a very accurate glimpse of what we should expect on their future efforts.

The band is currently on the road for the Monster Outbreak tour with As I Lay …

I See Stars Added To Outbreak Tour

In light of Mitch Luker’s (Suicide Silence) untimely passing, Sumerian Records has opted to add I See Stars to the lineup of this year’s Monster Outbreak Tour. These guys are by no means meant to replace Suicide Silence, as no one would be able to. I personally think they got added on by Sumerian due to the fact that they were recently kicked off The Thug In Me Is You tour.

The announcement of I See Stars being added was made on Asking Alexandria‘s Facebook page. Ben Bruce had some very kind words to say about Mitch …
