First Round of SXSW Bands Announced; Application Deadline Pushed Back

SXSW is approaching faster than you think and this morning the first round of performing artists were announced. The list, which you can find below, features acts of all genres from around the world and barely begins to scrape the total list of artists who will eventually make the trek to Austin in March 2013. SXSW Music has extended the showcase application deadline for acts to apply to perform at the 2013 music festival through Friday, November 9, 2012. Bonnaroo Partners With Spotify, Lineup Coming Tomorrow

The organizers behind Bonnaroo 2012 have announced a partnership with Spotify to help unveil this year’s lineup to the world.

Premiering tomorrow exclusively on the music streaming service, Bonnaroo will release a Spotify playlist containing one song from each artist scheduled to appear at this year’s festival (which runs June 7-10).

There are rumors regarding the lineup, but nothing concrete. Who do you think will make an appearance this year? Comment below with ideas and we’ll update you when the playlist goes live.

Rumored (leaked) lineup for Coachella 2012

The new year is rolling around and with it comes another year of great music. Next spring is the Coachella Valley Music and Fine Arts Festival, a huge (sweaty) gathering of celebrities, rich folk, and hipsters.  To entertain these individuals, hundreds of musicians will flock to the Coachella Valley to play.

A Goldenvoice insider has revealed a rumored list of artists set to perform at the 2012 Coachella festival. Not every artist has been confirmed, but the list inside gives a pretty good depiction of what the next festival’s lineup will look like.

SXSW 2012 Unveils First Round Of Band Announcements

We know it is still November, but how can you not already be excited for SXSW 2012? Given our wealth of coverage at this years event, we’re hoping to make next year even bigger and by the looks of the first round of bands, so are festival organizers.

Today the official SXSW website unveiled the first round of band announcements for the March 2012 event. This is obviously nowhere near the complete list of talent, but names such as Against Me, VHS Or Beta, and We Are The Oceans should be enough to push a few more ticket sales. You …

The tour will go from July to September and feature support from Rick Ross, Keri Hilson, Far East Movement and Lloyd. All of the dates can be viewed below.
