Former As I Lay Dying Members Announce New Project Wovenwar

After weeks of cryptic Instagram teasers and some drama involving an “official statement” on the future of the band that was later revealed to be written and posted by Tim Lambesis without the rest of the band’s knowledge, the group of musicians formerly known as As I Lay Dying (Jordan Mancino, Nick Hipa, Phil Sgrosso and Josh Gilbert) have officially announced their new project will be called Wovenwar.

Not long ago we brought you news that Haste The Day were beginning to tease what appeared to be a reunion coinciding with the ten-year anniversary of their debut album. Everyone involved with the record, including original vocalist Jimmy Ryan, tweeted a similar message, but no one would respond to our requests for additional information.

Atreyu Teasing Reunion Just In Time For ‘The Curse’ To Hit The Decade Mark

Ten years ago Atreyu were the kings of the hard rock movement. Their debut album had catapulted them onto the national stage, and in 2004 they followed that release with The Curse, which would go on to be their most successful (and beloved) album. Now, after almost three years spent ‘on a break,’ Atreyu are teasing a reunion less than five months before The Curse crosses the decade mark. Coincidence? We think not.

The Used Ask Fans To ‘Please Stand By’

It has been a minute or two since we heard anything new from The Used, but if their recently updated website and social networks are to be believed it would seem the band has a big reveal on the horizon.

Late last night, The Used updated their official website to a Tumblr page will a fullscreen video. The clip, which plays on a loop, features a television screen littered with static that reads ‘Please Stand By.’ You can view the same teaser at the end of this post.

Saviour To Call It A Day

In news that has sent shock-waves through the Australian punk and hardcore community, rising stars Saviour have announced that they are calling it a day.

The band announced their decision via an official statement distributed by their label UNFD today, in which they confirmed that their upcoming shows at Melbourne’s Push Over and Tasmania’s Breath of Life festivals will be their last ever shows outside of Western Australia. Drummer Of The Ghost Inside Confirms New Album Is On The Way

Earlier this evening, Andrew Tkaczyk, drummer of the L.A. hardcore act The Ghost Inside, announced via Twitter that the group is heading to Orlando, Florida to begin tracking what will be their fourth full-length album. You can view said tweet for yourself by following the jump.

This forthcoming release will act as a follow-up to 2012′s Get What You Give, which debuted at number 88 on the Billboard 200 chart, and was produced by none other than Jeremy McKinnon of A Day To Remember.

Vans Warped Tour recently began their annual revealing of the lineup for the next edition of the tour in a week-by-week fashion. Tonight, it has been announced Saves The Day, A Skylit Drive, The Ghost Inside, I The Mighty, and Beartooth will be taking part in the traveling summer festival in 2014.

Closure in Moscow have unveiled “The Church of the Technochrist,” the first official single to be taken off of their hotly anticipated sophomore record, Pink Lemonade.

“Church of the Technochrist” was announced via the band’s direct mailing list (a copy of the email can be found here) and is streaming after the jump. It’s also available for download on iTunes right now.
