REVIEW: Angels and Airwaves – ‘The Dream Walker’

Artist: Angels and Airwaves
Title: The Dream Walker
Label: To the Stars
Genre: Alternative Rock

I’m going to spare all of you my history with this band. I have had various opinions about Angels and Airwaves for many years, and it’s all come to a pinnacle with the release of The Dream Walker.

Objectivity was tough in this situation when it came to writing a review, especially as a blink-182 fanboy. Well, I did, kind of. When you go and listen to this album, do what I did. Set aside your Enema of the State obsession and stop wishing …

Angels & Airwaves Release New Song, “Bullets In The Wind”

After releasing the music video for “The Wolkpack” last week, Angels & Airwaves has surprised fans with a new musical vibe on the latest song to appear off their upcoming album, The Dream Walker.

“Bullets in The Wind,” premiering on AltPress, is slightly surprising as it sounds a lot different than past releases. The song consists of an intro riff that resembles an indie pop sound rather than the staple space rock that AVA has been known to produce.

Here is what Tom DeLonge had to say to AltPress about the track:

“Here’s a left turn

Angels & Airwaves Have A Novel And A Short Film Coming

As the band and its fans gear up for a new AVA era in the form of their impending record, The Dream Walker, Angels & Airwaves also have other things up their sleeves. The two-years-in-the-making short film under the band’s company, To The Stars, is entitled Poet Anderson. The animated short revolves around a boy who is able to tap into his comatose brother’s sub-conscience in another universe.

Tom Delonge, the band’s frontman, goes into the film’s details in the WRRV interview included below. Delonge also talks briefly about the novel that will be preceding the short film. …

Watch Angels & Airwaves’ New Music Video For “The Wolfpack”

A few weeks ago, we let you in on a premiere of Angels & Airwaves‘ newest single, entitled “The Wolfpack.” The new song is taken from the band’s upcoming full-length, The Dream Walker, which is due out in December, a little over three years after their last record, Love: Part Two, was released.

Today, AVA have released the official music video for “The Wolfpack,” and it involves a lot of masks and a lot of drunken hallucinations. It’s pretty cool, if you ask me.

You can check out the new video below, along with The Dream Walker

UTG PREMIERE: Angels And Airwaves – “The Wolfpack”

This is probably the most exciting Halloween we’ve ever had on UTG.

We have partnered with our SpinMedia brothers and sisters to host the world premiere of Angels And Airwaves’ new single, “The Wolfpack.” The track is the latest to surface from the group’s upcoming album, The Dream Walker, and to be perfectly honest it’s our favorite of the bunch.

Speaking about “The Wolfpack,” frontman Tom Delonge offered:

“The Wolfpack’ is the first single from our upcoming album, ‘The Dream Walker,’ which is part of a bigger trans-media project called ‘Poet Anderson The Dream Walker.’ The song is a

Angels & Airwaves Stream “Paralyzed” From New Album, ‘The Dream Walker’

A couple weeks ago, Angels & Airwaves relaunched their website with the impression that the band was ready to take over the world with their new record, Poet, arriving on Halloween of this year.

Today, the band has released the first song, entitled “Paralyzed” (via Rolling Stone), off the record, which is now titled The Dream Walker. The song features a more aggressive rock sound that wasn’t found on previous Angels albums, and an evolution in the band that tells us that they’re growing with the new release, their first in five years since 2009′s Love: Part

Angels & Airwaves Relaunch Website For Halloween Record Release

Earlier this year, Angels & Airwaves made a huge announcement on their Modlife website to its corresponding members regarding the band’s plans for the rest of 2014. Those plans included things like a website revamp, an ambiguous Halloween storyboard idea entitled “POET,” and highly-anticipated new music that Tom Delonge described as “a defining album of [their] career.”

The new AVA website just relaunched today and it’s got quite the cryptic vibe, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.

The band’s new album is reported to be dropping around the time of Halloween. Make sure to check back for more …

STREAM: Angels And Airwaves – “Diary”

Blink-182 frontman Tom Delonge may have recently celebrated the independence of his pop punk group, but it’s his space rock indie act that we’re talking about today.

Earlier this morning, a new song from Angels And Airwaves popped up online entitled, “Diary.” The song hails from Gold Package VI, which is the name of the latest giveaway to members of the AVA fan club, and runs just over seven minutes in length. You can stream the song after the jump.

When they first emerged, I was so into Angels And Airwaves it was nearing the line of straight …
