STREAM: American Opera – “Broken Roads”

American Opera has a treat for the internet today in the form of a brand new song called “Broken Roads.” The unsigned solo artist will be releasing his next EP, entitled Your Songs, on July 2 so be looking out for more information and streams here.

AO has also been added onto three dates of this year’s acoustic stage of Vans Warped Tour and we could not be more proud. Check him out from July 17 through July 20 performing at the specified stage.

American Opera Announces EP ‘Your Songs’

Saginaw, MI unsigned artist American Opera will be releasing his next EP, entitled Your Songs, on July 2.

AO is one of UTG’s favorite up-and-coming acts in the rock world and we would love nothing more than to have you check him out. Please view the official track-listing for Your Songs as well as a studio update recording his progress.

WATCH: American Opera’s First Studio Update

John Bee of American Opera has posted his first studio update regarding his upcoming EP.

Watch Bee and his moustache snap his fingers, argue with his producer and lay down some sweet tracks.

This EP, recorded at Northpost Recording in Traverse City, Michigan and due this summer, will be the third EP from American Opera. Watch the studio update below.

WATCH: American Opera – “Songs I Used To Sing” (Live)

John Bee and his splendid handlebar moustache are at it again.

Apparently while in Austin for SXSW, John Bee — performing under his moniker, American Opera — met up with Altar TV to film his song, “Songs I Used To Sing”. The performance that was filmed came out beautifully.

A different live version of “Songs I Used To Sing” can be heard on Bee’s live album, Live! @ GBS Detroit. Pick that up on iTunes and watch his Altar TV performance below.

American Opera Announces Tour Dates

On his way down to Austin’s SXSW Festival this March, John Bee will be embarking on a 13-day tour under his musical alias, American Opera, upon arriving and performing at the famed festival for a week.

The tour will kick off on February 26 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and snake its way through the Midwest before finishing up in Tyler, Texas on March 10, just in time for SXSW to begin on March 11.

WATCH: American Opera – “Songs I Used To Sing” (Live)

Folk artist, John Bonham of American Opera, tweeted a new video earlier of himself performing “Songs I Used To Sing” live on a rooftop in Chicago.

The song is available on a seven-song live EP Bonham recorded in Detroit, which can be purchased here.

Additionally, Bonham will be playing a string of dates in the NYC area in November. Dates and information can be found on his website.

The video, shot by Bonham’s friends, Josh Hardt and Tom Lopez, can be seen below.

American Opera will release a cassette through Antique Records on June 1, 2012.

Howell, MI’s Bled Fest has certainly overwhelmed us with the fantastic lineup up announced, and they are not even close to finished yet! This huge event takes place at the Hartland Performing Arts Center, on May 26, and is open to all ages.
