With every song that Alkaline Trio releases, I’m becoming more and more certain that the Chicago group is on the road to releasing one of their best releases to date. Now that “I’m Only Here To Disappoint” is streaming on AltPress, those thoughts have only grown.

The song comes off of their ninth studio album, My Shame Is True, which is being released through Epitaph Records on April 2.

MUSIC VIDEO: Alkaline Trio – “I Want To Be A Warhol”

Punk-rock veterans, Alkaline Trio premiered their new video for “I Want To Be A Warhol” on MTVu this morning.

As an added bonus, the video features the beautiful Milla Jovovich. Watch the Trio performing “I Want To Be A Warhol” in Jovovich’s living room while she lounges around in lingerie and some creep spys on her from inside her walls on MTVu.

The group also recently released a music video for “I, Pessimist” featuring Tim McIlrath of Rise Against, which can be seen right here on Under The Gun.

HOLY SH!T: Alkaline Trio and Bayside Announce US Tour

Alkaline Trio and Bayside have finally granted the wishes of countless fans across the country by announcing plans to tour together later this year.

Breaking shortly after noon today, Alkaline Trio and Bayside will be hitting the road together from April to June, with dates planned in more than twenty cities nationwide. Additional support for the run has yet to be revealed, but it’s likely such details will surface in the coming week. You can view the full tour routing below:

Alkaline Trio is back with their latest track, “I Wanna Be A Warhol”. The track looks to be featured on My Shame Is True, an upcoming full-length by the band to be released through Epitaph Records on April 2. Personally, with all of the effects and synths, the track reminds me of frontman Matt Skiba’s other project, Matt Skiba And The Sekrets, but with a classic AK3 twist.

LIVE VIDEO: Alkaline Trio – Never Before Seen Footage From 1997

Just yesterday, we shared some incredible footage of Fall Out Boy from 2002, years before they saw mainstream success. Today we have dug up even more footage of some Chicagoan favorites, this time it’s Alkaline Trio, and this footage is even older.

Typing this, I realize that I was just 4 years old when this was recorded. If I knew any songs at all, they were pop country. So, while I was doing the Jacob Jiggle, to “Watermelon Crawl,” AK3 was getting their start in local churches like the one this video was captured in.

Alkaline Trio In Studio For New Album

Alkaline Trio is officially working on the follow up to last year’s Damnesia. The currently untitled album will be produced by Bill Stevenson.

Bassist Dan Andriano previously said “We’re going to go work with Bill [Stevenson] at Fort Collins at the Blasting Room. Bill and Jason [Livermore]. We’ve all wanted to work with Bill for a long time and this is kind of the time to do it. So we’re going to go hang out there in October. Make a new record.” But it seems they’ve entered earlier than expected, and have officially begun recording.
